On August 23rd, “The War at the Forge III” at the Valley Forge Casino & Resort in Valley Forge, PA returns in front of a WORLDWIDE audience LIVE on GFL.tv! Bringing you another exciting night of full fledged BOXING action!
In the Main Event of the evening, hellacious hitting heavyweight Travis Kauffman (24-1) will face off with rugged journeyman Arron Lyons (12-12-1)
Kauffman, will look to continue his 6 fight winning streak since losing a highly controversial fight to Tony Grano in 2009. The fight against Grano was an exciting fight with back and forth action but the ending was plagued with controversy. Grano was dropped and injured but resorted to using illegal tactics to stay in the fight. Then some ringside observers thought Grano appeared to have thrown Kauffman to the ground illegally but the ref counted out Kauffman resulting in a TKO loss.
The result of the fight was then appealed to the CA State Athletic Commission to no avail. This result hasn’t deterred the HW prospect, who has put together 6 straight victories and is looking for number 7 this Friday night at the Valley Forge Casino & Resort LIVE WORLDWIDE on GFL.tv!
His opponent Arron Lyons will do anything in his power not to allow Kauffman to continue his winning streak. Lyons is on a 3 fight skid, but they were to previously undefeated Kelvin Price (12-0), WBA #2 Luis Ortiz (12-0), and fringe contender Damian Willis (29-2-1). He is also no stranger to upsetting his opponents stopping then undefeated Joey Abell (9-0) in the 1st round of their 1st encounter as well as stopping Lenroy Thomas (16-1-1) in the 4th round of their showdown. Lyons also held undefeated Wilmer Vasquez (9-0-2) to a draw.
Lyons will surely not be an easy foe for Kauffman, who will be looking to put the Heavyweight division on notice with an impressive victory! A win for Kauffman could catapult him into a big fight against some of America’s top prospects such as Deontay Wilder, Seth Mitchell, or Bryant Jennings.
In rhe co-main event Frank Santos De Alba (8-1-2) will square off with Miguel Rodriguez in a 6 round bout. De Alba was originally slated to face the extremely tough Osnel Charles, but Charles was forced to pull out. De Alba refused to let this setback get in the way of his chance to shine in front of his fan LIVE at the Valley Forge Casino & Resort as well as the WORLDWIDE audience watching at home LIVE on GFL.tv!
De Alba, who works full time doing manual labor 9 hours a day before going to the gym, is looking to showcase his skills against a very tough Rodriguez. Rodriguez will sure to bring his “A” game but this will not stop De Alba from trying to shine in front of the world.
Also on the card, some of PA’s top prospects will see action. Miguel Cartagena (7-0) will face Eduardo Melendez (4-13) in a 4 round bantamweight showdown. Highly touted lightweight prospect Damon Allen (2-0) will take on the very tough Samuel Omar Quinones Jr (2-1) in a 4 round attraction. Nazim Richardson’s protege Khalib Whitmore (1-0) will try to duplicate his pro debut when he faces Richard McCombs (1-4). Finally cruiserwight journeyman Kamarah Pasely (6-6) will see action against an opponent To Be Announced.

Amir Mansour vs. Maurice Harris – From Dover Downs
Fri Aug 23 7:30PM ET
Click here to watch this event on GoFightLive!
On August 23rd, 2013,USBA #10 Amir “Hardcore” Mansour (18-0) will look to continue his path of carnage in the HW division when he takes on USBA #9 Maurice “Sugar Moe” Harris (26-17-2). The outcome will lay down the blueprint for both warriors careers.
Amir Mansour’s has suffered many setbacks in his pro boxing career and none of which were suffered inside of the ring. At he age of 41, Mansour has completed numerous jail sentences. Mansour will not allow past issues to deter his dream of carrying the Heavyweight Championship. For most the age 41 signifies the end of a career but in Mansour’s case it is different. Mansour has not taken punishment throughout his career like his counterpart. Not to mention most of “Hardcore’s” in ring encounters never make it the distance.
Mansour carriers vicious power in both hands. He has the ability to stop any man who is standing across from him when the opening bell sound. Mansour, a fan favorite on GFL.tv, will not be fighting for the first time in front of a WORLDWIDE audience and a decisive win over HW spoiler Harris will ensure that it is not his last. A win here will not only capture the USBA HW title but will ensure him a top 15 ranking in the IBF positioning him for a showdown with current IBF HW Champion Wladimir Klitschko.
With 14 KO’s in Mansour’s 18 fights, it is almost guaranteed that the WORLDWIDE LIVE audience watching at home on GFL.tv will catch a highlight reel KO. That is unless veteran HW upset specialist Maurice Harris has anything to say about it. Harris has shared the ring who’s who in the HW division. Harris has fought the likes of Larry Holmes,Chris Byrd, Siarhei Liakhovich, Fres Oquendo, and Tony Thompson. His controversial stoppage loss to Tony Thompson was part of an IBF Box Off for a shot at Wladimir Klitschko’s title.
Most likely, this encounter will be the last chance saloon for the 37 year old battle worn Harris. A win here could lead to one last run at his dream of conquering the HW title. Since his loss to Thompson, Harris is has 2 wins and 2 lossed. One of the losses was a very controversial decision lost to Edmund Gerber in Germany. His other loss was against another HW fringe contender Albert Sosnowski in a 3 round split decision as a part of the Prizefighter Tournament. Recently he defeated Jason Bergman, via close split decision, in Bergman’s hometown.
With Father Time creeping up on both men, this is their chance to make a statement LIVE in front of a WORLDWIDE audience on GFL.tv this Friday night at the Dover Downs in Dover, Delaware. Even though the bout is scheduled for 12 rounds, fans worldwide can expect a KO of the Year candidate in what could be a Fight of the Year candidate as well!!
In the Co-Main Event of the evening, Edgar Santana (27-4) & Michael Clark (44-8-1) will go head to head for the vacant NABA Light Welterweight title. This is another true crossroads fight with both men being 1-1 in their past two fights.
Edgar Santana, at one point was a very promising prospect, but seemingly can’t make it over the hump that would take him from contender to champion. Luckily for Santana, his chances are not up. A upset loss to Manuel Perez (16-7-1) set him back in his quest for the title but “El Chamco” was able to stop the very tough Eddie Soto in 3 rounds. Now, with a title in his grasp, Michael “Cold Blood” Clark will try to intervene in front of a WORLDWIDE audience LIVE on GFL.tv.
Clarke, “The Conteder: Season 2″ alumni, is looking to break away from the gatekeeper title to become an actual contender for the title. Winning the NABA title will not only add a great name to his resume but also send his name up the rankings. Clark is looking for back to back wins for the first time since March of 2011.
Both men are going to stop at nothing to win this belt and put together back to back wins while positioning themselves for a bigger name fight. The winner here could open a lot of doors for themselves iFor full fight card and more details about this event, visit gfl.tv or click here

Don’t miss this show as the most talented fighters from Arkansas and the surrounding states step into the cage to do battle.

None of Burrow’s fights have ever gone to decision and his fast paced, crowd pleasing style makes him a dangerous fighter against anyone in his division. Burrow is a solid striker, but his real bread and butter is on the mat where he is a grappling wizard and loves to go for the submission anytime the fight hits the mat. Johnson has remained undefeated because of his tenacity inside the cage where he has stopped all 3 of his opponents (2 in the first round). Johnson brings a tremendous ground and pound game with him into the cage and if the fight hits the mat it will be interesting to see who will impose their will. Johnson also packs a wallop with both hands so don’t be surprised if he goes head-hunting in the early going. Johnson is looking to take out a grizzled fighter how possesses over twice the cage experience but to do that his cardio will most likely be tested as this fight could go all three rounds at a dizzying pace by these two blue chip prospects at 155 lb.

Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) returns on August 28 to GFL.tv with “EFC 8 – Warrior” at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The mega card will feature many of the top regional gladiators in the area as EFC is famous for being a battle zone for fighters looking to make a name for themselves.
In a featured match, Jovany Alvarez (4-2) fights Gabriel Ruiz (3-2) in a 125 lb bout. Alvarez is coming off of a tough loss and looks to get back in the win column against Ruiz. Alvarez possesses a strong grappling base as well as pinpoint accuracy with his strikes. Alvarez is a master at mixing up his attacks and will try and bait Ruiz into making a mistake and then capitalize on it. Ruiz is riding a 3-fight winning steak with two coming by way of first round submission. Ruiz is a dangerous fighter as he is always on the attack and will look to press the action against Alvarez. Ruiz has excellent cardio and this fight should be nonstop action for as long as it lasts. Don’t blink.
In other action, in a rematch, it will be Jen Lopez (4-1) taking on Roya Darvishian (5-2). Lopez has 3 submission victories and her only defeat is by split decision to Darvishian earlier this year. Lopez is always looking for the finish and comes out ready to attack her opponent in the opening round. Look for Lopez to try and secure a takedown early. Darvishian currently holds multiple titles with other organizations and is intent on proving that her first fight with Lopez was not as close as the judges saw it. Look for Darvishian to try and out wrestle Lopez over 3 rounds and make this a one-sided fight. Both Lopez and Darvishian are two of the blue chip prospects to come out of the East Coast and these women are looking to take that next big step in their career. A win here will do that for one of them.
EFC always gives the fans KOs and submissions as the fighters are continually looking for the finish. Be sure to catch all of the action from this exciting event as EFC presents “EFC 8 – Warrior” on August 24 exclusively at GFL.tv.For full fight card and more details about this event, visit gfl.tv or click here
Ultimate Reno Combat 43
Sat Aug 24 9:00PM ET
Click here to watch this event on GoFightLive!
Northern Nevada’s #1 cage fighting event returns as “Ultimate Reno Combat 43″ premiers live on August 24, at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada. Voted the #1 Amateur MMA Event in the Nation, URC always showcases the top up and coming fighters from around Nevada and California.
In the main event, in a title rematch of the year in URC, Lightweight Champion Sinjen Smith (5-0) battles Rob Gamble (3-8). In their bout earlier this year, Smith grabbed a rear naked choke and sunk it in deep. The ref sensed that Gamble went out and stopped the fight, but Gamble popped up immediately showing he was not out. It was a controversial end to what had been up to that point a very exciting bout. Look for Smith to continue to use his wrestling superiority and try and get Gable down to the mat with takedown after takedown. Gamble showed off some nice scrambles in their first fight and landed some solid strikes in the standup, so expect Gamble to try and keep it on the feet. Smith is a tall lightweight, standing at 6’0″ and uses his length in the striking game as he has 3 of 5 wins via TKO. Smith also possess great takedowns to control his opponents and can get the fight to the mat if need be. Gamble is a gritty vet from Oregon, and also stands at 6’0″ so Smith’s reach advantage should be negated and if anything, Gamble had the advantage in standup in their last fight. This bout promises to settle the score and determine who the top 155 lb fighter in URC is once and for all.
In the co-main event, Brieta “Tank Girl” Carpenter (2-0) fights Autumn Norton (3-1) for the first URC Women’s Bantamweight Title. Carpenter who hails from California won both of her fights in the first round, one by KO and one by submission but she will face her toughest test to date against the veteran Norton. Norton also comes from California and is coming off a solid win in her last outing and brings a well-balanced attack of striking and grappling into the cage. She will have the experience advantage and will look to test Carpenter’s cardio. Don’t blink because this bout is sure to be a barnburner.
URC 43 will be no different as the very best of the best in the amateur ranks will compete in the cage where Blood Happens! If you can’t be there live in Reno, experience the thrill of every punch, kick, takedown and submission via the comfort of your home. Stream it live on the GFL Combat Sports Network.Watch the champions of tomorrow compete today! Don’t miss this loaded event with loaded mixed martial arts fight as Northern Nevada’s “Ultimate Reno Combat 43″ comes to you live on GFL.tv on August 24.

Click here to watch this event on GoFightLive!
Xtreme Combat Promotions (XCP), New England’s premier MMA organization, returns to GFL on August 24 as it presents “XCP 5 – Bennington Fight and Fitness Expo”, a stacked pro/am card emanating from the Vermont Voltage Sports Center. This card features an explosive card with the top up and coming prospects around the New England area.
In the main event, Andre “The Finisher” Belcarris (6-3) battles Christopher Johnson. Belcarris is on a 3-fight win streak, with the last win being for the XCP Bantamweight Title. Belcarris has only been stopped once in his career, in his first fight, and has shown an ability to finish nearly every opponent. Expect Belcarris to come out looking to prove he is the #1 145 lb fighter in XCP as he defends his belt for the first time against Johnson. Johnson is new to the sport but will be learning on the job as he battles the experienced Belcarris. Johnson will bring the element of surprise into the bout as Belcarris will not know where Johnson’s strengths and weaknesses are until they meet in the cage.
In the co-main event, for the XCP Light Heavyweight Title, Champion Jesse Baughman (3-0) fights Rob Cameron (1-0). Baughman won the title after a 10 second KO earlier this year. Baughman is a strong wrestler who has smashed all of his previous opponents beating them by KO or TKO in the first round. Look for Baughman to try and impose his will in the very beginning of the fight. Cameron makes his second appearance into the XCP cage and brings a strong grappling game into the cage. Cameron is dangerous from the ground as evidenced by his first round submission victory. This bout has all the makings of fight of the night as these two gladiators go to battle.
You won’t find more BANG for your buck so order this thrilling event. Be sure to catch all of the action LIVE on August 24 as Xtreme Combat Promotions presents “XCP 5 – Bennington Fight and Fitness Expo”.
