**The Role**
The Media Planner will work within a team to create and plan digital media campaigns running across Bloomberg Digital properties with the goal of maximizing revenue for Bloomberg LP and creating effective, renewable programs for our clients. Bloomberg Digital comprises Bloomberg.com and BusinessWeek.com and mobile products across both platforms. The Media Planner will also ensure excellence and continuity across multi dimensional campaigns. This role requires a strong understanding of digital media planning, online advertising, ad serving technologies and sales/marketing principles, and the ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline environment.
Responsibilities include:
* Creation of digital media plans & inventory availability requests for sales team
* Collaborate with sales to develop high touch digital advertising programs across Bloomberg's web and mobile platforms
* Efficiently plan inventory and pricing to maximize Bloomberg's revenues from digital, working closely with traffic and yield management teams
* Work closely with fellow media planners to share knowledge, planning best practices and keep track of products and offerings
* Work with the sales development and marketing teams to deliver creative proposals for custom integrated RFPs
* Maintain close communication with product development and R&D; teams to track new product availability and include in proposals as appropriate
* Ensure client advertising is targeted efficiently and effectively
* Keep on top of industry trends in online advertising and ad operations
**Qualifications:**
* Recent/relevant digital media planning or digital advertising experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Experience building media plans, using pricing tools and negotiating rates
* Working knowledge of the interactive advertising industry
* Working knowledge of ad serving technologies (such as DFP, OpenAds, Atlas, etc.)
* Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills
* Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills necessary
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills
