The UFC is back in Texas, but this time they’re in the city of Hidalgo, which is just about at the US-Mexico border. Unsurprisingly, there are several TUF Latin America fighters competing on the prelims. The main event is a lightweight matchup between Dustin Poirier and Michael Johnson, which should be a great fight. Surging middleweight contender Derek Brunson meets Uriah Hall in the co-main.
It’ll be a busy night of combat sports in Texas, as some several hundred miles north of Hidalgo will be Canelo Alvarez vs. Liam Smith at Arlington’s Cowboys Stadium. As for the full UFC lineup, here’s what’s in store for Saturday, September 17th at the State farm Arena:
