Zane Simon and Victor Rodriguez of Bloody Elbow take a look at this week's WSOF card at a strange time for the promotion as a whole.

It's no secret, news for WSOF is not great right now. With Georgi Kharkhanyan and Josh Burkman jumping ship, reports of fighter pay problems become less of a backdrop and more of a pressing question. However, whatever problems are plauging them, it hasn't stopped the USA's no. 3 MMA promotion from putting on a pretty interesting card this week. At the top it features the talented, but problematic Ryan Ford taking on ever stalwart top tier welterweight Jake Shields, fresh of Shields' release from the UFC. Fighting along with them will be a host of familiar faces in Tim Hague, Jared Hamman, and Chris Horodecki. There are even a couple interesting prospects in Michael Hill and Luis Huete. All said and done WSOF's U.S. vs Canada card could actually be pretty fun.

Here's how it looks right now:

Main Card
Ryan Ford vs. Jake Shields
Smealinho Rama vs Derrick Mehmen
Chris Horodecki vs Luis Huete
Luke Harris vs Jared Hamman

Prelims
Stephen Beaumont vs Jose Rodriguez
Tim Hague vs Craig Hudson
Michael Hill vs Marcus Hicks
Hakeem Dawodu vs Mike Malott
Cody Krahn vs Matt Baker
Roger Alves vs David Swanson
