In theaters Friday, January 13, 2017 is STX’s The Bye Bye Man, which follows three college students who unwittingly unleash a supernatural entity known as The Bye Bye Man, who comes to prey upon them once they discover his name.

Yes, this film channels the legend of “Bloody Mary” and echoes classic horror cinema such as Candyman. In what way? Well, yesterday I received a mysterious package at my door. Inside was an old, used, coffee-stained table.

Upon opening the drawer I came across an old polaroid photo of a young woman with her dog.

Upon closer inspection of the photo I discovered that The Bye Bye Man was also haunting the background of the woman and her dog…

Further into the drawer was a piece of paper with “Don’t think it. Don’t say it.” written over and over… underneath, well, that was the creep factor: The Bye Bye Man was carved into the wood. I’ve now “discovered” his name.

To my surprise I woke up to find a clip from the film in my inbox. What was so cool about this footage? Watch it and you’ll see…

Yup, the same side table in the movie showed up at my door. But this isn’t the only one. The Bye Bye Man is spreading his fear across the country. Ten (un)lucky people will have the chance to invite The Bye Bye Man into their life…

In the film, a group of college students move into an old house and bring the furniture out of the basement, including a nightstand which Elliot (Douglas Smith) places next to his bed. The inside drawer has “don’t say it, don’t think it” scrawled all over the liner paper, hiding the carved words “The Bye Bye Man” underneath.

Now you can invite The Bye Bye Man into your life with a custom built cursed nightstand and find out if you’re able to survive his possession.

Get yours free locally via Craiglist in these ten markets. Be the first to reply to the ad and reference “The Bye Bye Man” to get one delivered to you. Inside you will find a clue to additional creepy content from the film and one lucky winner will receive a golden ticket to be flown out to LA for a screening of The Bye Bye Man with the filmmakers.
