It’s Chelsea time – a celebration of the very best in gardening at the greatest flower show in the world!

We’ll be previewing Chelsea in a special show on Saturday 16th May and then, on the following Saturday (23rd) we’ll be celebrating the best of the week long show. In addition, I’ll be filming my highlights from Chelsea and we hope to broadcast this in the morning show on Tuesday 19th.

I’ll be very excited to see all the new plants being launched at Chelsea. They’ll include Carolyn Whetman’s giant flowered scented pinks that featured first (and sold out) on QVC last week. It will be good to see other QVC growers there too, including Raymond Evison and Patrick Fairweather. I’m also excited that two stands in the grand marquee feature plants fed with Flower Power so it will be great if they win medals!

As you’d expect, we’ll be selling some special Chelsea themed plants on QVC during the week. They include the fabulous Blackmore & Langdon delphiniums, grown by the nursery that has starred at every single Chelsea Flower Show since it started over 100 years ago! We were lucky to have some plants to sell last spring and they caused a sensation, especially when David brought in some of the exhibition size flowering plants from Chelsea.

We’ll also be featuring another star from Chelsea, the beautiful West Country Lupins, as well as extra large plants of Hydrangea Miss Saori (winner of the plant of the year at Chelsea last year) and, another Chelsea favourite, the stunning and much sought after Primula Auriculas – you’ll need to watch the live shows on QVC to see and buy some of these new plants.

What’s more, we’re celebrating with two very special Today’s Special Values. On Sunday 17th, we’ve got a bigger version of Luxform‘s beautiful crackle glaze solar globe lights, perfect for creating beautiful garden ambience; and on Sunday 24th, an amazing rechargeable water fountain that you’ll find out more about closer to the date.

There’s no doubt about it, we’re really celebrating Chelsea in style!

Happy gardening,

Richard
