Well it’s finally here! The weekend several QVC guests will be joining me at the hall behind the Wotton Hatch, on A25 just outside Dorking in RH56QQ. Itinerary is below if you can pop down! There will be an evening Supper Quiz too, afterwards, which is ticket only, go here for tix and info – at time of writing there’s about 9 left! The afternoon session is from 12-5pm, and features the most amazing Vintage Teas from our Linda Magistris and her Hotch Potch Vintage team.

Here I am talking about what’s on, from a vlog I posted on my Facebook public page on Monday. Full info is below.

Face of Prai

Of course those shows I mentioned in the vlog above, introduced the lovely Alison, winner of our Face of Prai contest. Prai is a wonderful range of skincare, it combines the best of natural time-honoured ingredients like Prai root – a bit like ginger, whose anti-ageing uses go back generations, plus modern technologies like Matrixyl peptides. Cathy Kangas our regular guest, is here talking about the competition, at the glamorous Dorchester event on Sunday where the winner was announced from these lovely finalists – including Doreen, Patricia, Pamela and Alison, the winner.

Then of course it was Alison’s turn on our 6pm show – here’s the lovely winner herself!

The Prai top sellers this visit included this fabulous top seller Throat and Decolletage Creme in the big economy size if you need to do something about your neck. And watch out for the return of Prai with a big event around July 11th on air!

Next week – brand focus is on Elemis with a super competition!  In the meantime why not check out their Beauty Pick of the Month – their new Superfood Facial oil which is only available to buy at QVC.

Medical Detection Dogs – Malaria you won’t believe it but the latest research the clever canines will be helping with very soon is in fact, malaria detection. Apparently it can be done by dogs, and helps stop infecting since mosquitoes tend to go for people already infected, hence spreading it more. “Using medical detection dogs to identify people with malaria parasites.” Durham University will partner with Medical Detection Dogs, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the Medical Research Council Unit The Gambia on this project.” Loads more reasons to help me support them. Read about it here.

And if you missed what all the fuss is about – here’s the short video telling you all about the MDD’s amazing work, providing assistance alert dogs to smell human disease and prevent harm, plus their invaluable work in early cancer detection, and now malaria!

Do come join us this weekend (12th June) at RH56QQ just outside Dorking – it’ll be fun! Email me info@debbieflint.com if you can’t find the details or aren’t on Facebook.

SNIPPETS

Julia is 60! What a lovely cake in the shape of a big 6-0! And a very happy birthday to our lovely friend and colleague, the very first presenter on QVC all those 23 (nearly) years ago. Happy birthday for 10th Jules!

This was what happened behind the scenes on her last day before her holiday!

Hoss – went horse-riding with pal Fiona this week – OMG did my thighs ache after. At one point I nearly fell off when we began a ‘rising trot’ – the hoss did the rising and I did the bum-slap against the seat on every up-thrust! Oops! Must do it more often – am determined to learn!

Brolly – had a lovely few evenings at home under the new Atleisure Umbrella that Gill Gauntlett and I launched recently – the lights are surprisingly bright!  And of course the garden is looking lovely due to sunshine and rain.

Book of the Week – TACOM is on Audible! Well I mentioned it recently and here it is. This week, a full look at one of my best TiFFT’s ever – my first novel finally out on my first audiobook. Audible is a wonderful site where I’ve downloaded and read/listened-to more in the last three years than I have in the last ten! It’s just so easy – I can continue my ‘reading’ whilst driving, cooking, gardening, walking the dog etc. So what’s my new one like? Go to my website to see a pic of lovely Antonia Beamish who was chosen to be my narrator, and to get a link to listen to a free sample! Plus a beginners’ guide to self-publishing – click here to read it all.

Back to You Blog – It’s about the Food and Behaviour Research evening seminar that’s only £15, coming soon in Brighton – read about it and how to book – do go though, if you can – it’s such good value. Click here.

Retro since we had a vintage theme for the weekend fete, I thought I’d show you what my mum and dad looked like when I was about six – with nan and grandad. How stylish they all were then. Next week I’ll bring you some pics of how we dressed up at the fete!

Newsletter click here to read the latest round-up of my news, (and subscribe to get the email) – featuring the newest updates, links and exclusive videos – this week, the discovery in the garden! Click here to watch the video. And first-see pics of the weekend’s extravaganza for MDD!

Facebook Funny – giant needle, giant haystack – very funny!

Watch – TO COME THURSDAY late pm – Went to see Jackie the Musical with my lovely sis, who was treating me as a belated birthday present. We all loved Jackie the magazine, and I had tons of posters on my teenage bedroom walls! Sis and I shared a bedroom and there was a rigid dividing line on that wall I can tell you! The musical harkens back to those pre-internet days.

“Once there was a time with no mobiles, no online dating and no Facebook, when teenage girls waited with bated breath by the letterbox for their weekly issue of Jackie Magazine. In Jackie The Musical we revisit those heady days, and tell the story of a recent divorcée who seeks advice once more from the Cathy and Claire pages of her old Jackie annuals.”

I have to say that this musical is pure genius! Please go and see it if you read Jackie magazine when you were young. It has a brilliant plot, some fantastic performances, amazing music from our era, and I think it will be the next Mamma Mia for women of a certain age! It is on tour around Britain now, catch it near you if you can. 9/10! Great!

Here’s a little look at it – just check out these exciting songs! On at Wimbledon till 11th, then Liverpool then Sunderland.

This week on QVC – pics of all 3 pls amirah

Saturday’s TSV – Lulu’s Time Bomb 4 piece supersize collection

Sunday’s TSV – Bare Minerals Bareskin Bronzed Beauty set – super value once more!

Flora Mare, Tues midnight – another wonderful TSV set from the handsome Axel Ruth – the Diamare, rich Day and Night collection – do join me for the launch, it’s super for more mature or drier skins.

Ultrasun – the 4 pc collection TSV is on Friday – I’ll be posting an Early Bird Order link so you don’t have to wait up till midnight Thursday – I’ll be adding the early bird purchase link to my public Facebook page on around late Wednesday – click ‘like’ on the page too and you’ll see all my updates.

Sneaky Peek – here’s a little teaser of Saturday 18th’s TSV deal – a lovely new Bernini fountain!

Next week – all the fun of the fete! Vintage Teas pics and what happened when Ali Keenan and I had a sing along at Patrick Hoy’s Supper Quiz! Plus a focus on the Elemis Superfood Facial Oil Product of the Month and a fab Competition! And the big Alpha h birthday bash ‘up London’!

Best wishes

Here is where to go to find out about all my social media, Twitter, Facebook groups for QVC people, brands and my own groups including Till the Fat Lady Slims etc

Here is where to go to find out more about all my books – Top 50 Kindle bestseller Take a Chance on Me, other novels and short stories and anthologies. Plus non-fiction weight loss books TTFLS etc.

Latest testimonials for ‘Till the Fat Lady Slims’ & Bodyblading

“So inspirational and uplifting to read people’s NSVs on here so I thought I’d share a couple of mine from this week.

I wanted to lose weight in time for my nephew’s wedding, which was on Saturday. I aimed for around 20 pounds and was chuffed to find that I’ve actually lost 26 pounds (since December) by walking the dog, Bodyblading and sort of Freedom Eating, but not feeling deprived in any way, I still eat what I want, just not lots of it and not all day long.

Just checked my BMI and it’s down from overweight to healthy weight (from 28 ish to 24) and the best and most noticeable NSVs are feeling better and moving more freely, feeling better in my clothes and I find I have so much more room to wriggle around in the bath.” Tracey on ‘Till the Fat Lady Slims’ Facebook group.
