While NaBloPoMo happens all year round, November is still our biggest month, with thousands of bloggers making the commitment to blog daily for 30 days. It's not as easy as it sounds. Daily posting takes huge discipline, a lot of creativity, and sometimes stretching the definition of blogging. But BlogHer has provided a lot of support in the form of daily writing prompts and advice; writing daily with a community means that no one writes alone. It's good to know that there will be people to lean on when you feel that mid-month slump and wonder what you'll write next; and usually those interactions (plus taking a deep breath) yield some pretty gorgeous posts -- not to mention new blogging friends.

Elan Morgan has been publishing a new poem every day in 2013 on the Schmoetry section of her blog, Schmutzie, and this month, she's stepping up to the plate to post some prose every day, too, in her (ahem) copious spare time.

Don't be fooled by the title or the link to knitting patterns at the top of the blog: Knit. Run. Reap. Eat. is about a lot more than yarn. She blogs daily, touching on all facets of life from the recent government shutdown to travel to weight loss.
