1920: Kaehler Locksmithing & Trunk Works opens in Evanston, Illinois.
1958: The first transatlantic passenger Jet flights begin.
1970: The first wheeled luggage is invented.
1979: A second Kaehler store opens in Highland Park, beginning our expansion.
1987: The two-wheel rolling carry-on is invented.
1999: Kaehler begins selling luggage online as WorldTraveler.com & operates a Tumi store in Chicago's Water Tower Place.
2006: Kaehler clothing boutique opens in Winnetka, Illinois.
