Webnames.ca launched a web design service with small business in mind last year called FastTrack. FastTrack web design provides a professional website, built quickly and affordably. This
program has been a huge success and we wanted to highlight some of our
FastTrack clients.

As Karin Wills from Evolve Executive Coaching says: "...The product was professional...the process was user friendly...the budget was truly cost effective...my experience was much smoother than expected...I am definitely a happy client...".

This month we look at evolveexecutivecoaching.com. We asked Karin Wills, founder of Evolve Executive Coaching, a few questions about her experience with Webnames.ca and how things have been since working with us.

Karin Wills works with executives to improve accountability, engagement and productivity. She identifies results based solutions specific to leadership needs.

How important is your website to your business? What does it do for you?

My website is very important to my business as it provides a place for executives and emerging leaders to discover what products and services we offer, pick up some leadership tips, locate articles of interest, contact me to arrange an exploratory session or ask a general question. It offers links to related resources that also may be of interest to anyone considering a coach to help them accelerate their success.

Why did you decide to invest in a new website?

Websites provide many benefits to the business and to potential clients-they have replaced the yellow pages, offer helpful information to people searching for a vendor or service provider and can be updated quickly to stay current.

When choosing a company to work on your site what factors came in to play?

I was looking for one place to purchase my domain name, host my site, create and help to manage my site, and to offer some training and ongoing support. I also like to work with local business when possible.

Tell us a bit about your experience working with Webnames. How was the process? Did everything go as expected? Were there any surprises?

The surprise about working with Webnames was how easy the process was. Everyone I talked to through the process was so helpful and pleasant to work with. The product was professional and I have had very positive feedback from people who have visited the site. I also very much appreciated how user friendly the process was from the tips and templates to help create content and choose a template through to learning how to make easy updates myself. And of course for the budget conscious, it was truly cost effective.

Did you learn anything new by going through this process? If yes, what was it?

I learned about using WordPress, enough that I can make some updates on my own and to know when to get help. I also learned a lot about how to create content for a website that is specific to my business-the tips and templates provided made a real difference to how quickly I was able to create my content and choose a template.

Has your new website had any effect on your business, either day to day or overall? If so, please explain.

It is too early for me to answer this question - it has only been a little less than two months. I think that different types of businesses will have faster or slower response times depending on what you are selling. I do know that I am getting very positive feedback from many of my connections. I expect this information to be available in a few months though. At this point I know the content, appeal and ease of use of the site is well received.

Is social media integrated with your website? If yes, why do you think it's important to you and your business?

Yes, I have included LinkedIn and Twitter, as I am active in both those networks. Social Media is a very nice way to offer more information about how I work, what I am interested in, what new information I am keeping up to date with, new resources I share, and additional ways to connect with me. Social Media offers a more rounded view of ones professional knowledge as well as each network offers different ways of sharing information.

How easy has it been for you to manage your site and keep it up to date? What would you tell someone who is considering working with Webnames.ca on their new website?

So far, it has been much easier to manage my site than I expected. I am already planning to add some new things, ideas that came to me after 'living' with it for a little while and asking others what else they would like to see there. I already tell people looking to create their new site to consider Webnames - I know my experience was much smoother than expected - I am definitely a happy client.
