This Saturday, a happy horde of heroes will take up their controllers, mice, dice and keyboards in what has become one of the largest gamer-fueled online efforts yet.

Extra Life is a 24-hour gaming marathon that works a lot like a run, walk, or bike fundraiser, without all of that pesky sweat and having to go somewhere.  Play any game from video games to board games, and do it to help raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  All of the funds you raise will go to a children’s hospital of your choosing!  Find out more at http://extra-life.org.

Tune in this Saturday, October 25th, for 24+ hours of gaming for a great cause. To all the viewers who want to watch Extra Life content you need look no further than the Extra Life Twitch Directory.

More information after the jump.

Note to Twitch broadcasters: if you would like to participate in Extra Life please visit extra-life.org and set your “game” to playing ‘Extra Life.’

But that’s not all! Humble Bundle has teamed up with Extra Life to help the children during the Extra Life Game Day gaming marathon. With a pay-what-you-want bundle of PC games, beta keys and content subscriptions for Twitch Turbo and Reddit Gold, we’ve put together a full slate of items in order to support the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Customers can pay what they want for Potatoman Seeks the Troof, Trove Closed Beta (Humble Extra Life Starter Pack), Defiance (Humble Extra Life Starter Pack), Lone Survivor Director’s Cut, Landmark 1-Week Beta Access, Twitch Turbo 30-Day Subscription and Reddit Gold 30-Day Subscription. If they pay $6 or more, they’ll also unlock You Don’t Know Jack Classic Pack, King Arthur’s Gold, SpeedRunners (Early Access Game) and Rift (Humble Extra Life Starter Pack). If they pay $13 or more, they’ll receive all of the above and Nom Nom Galaxy (Early Access Game) and King Arthur’s Gold Squad Pack (includes three additional copies of the game).

As with all Humble Bundles, customers get to choose how their purchase dollars are allocated, between the developers and charity. Thanks to the generosity of the Humble Bundle community, more than $47 million has been contributed to more than 30 different causes to date.

So what are you waiting for? Queue up for your favorite stream and donate to this awesome cause! Or fire up a stream of your own. Either way, it’s time to get involved #ForTheKids.
