All of One Life Adventures’ guides know the area like the back of their hands! We have a central guide/group leader throughout each tour and utilize local operators in each destination as well, in order to achieve the most authentic experiences.
All our guides are experienced and well traveled themselves, so they know how to make your trip truly memorable!
What are some of the reasons why someone would want to book a tour with One Life Adventures?
We’ve found the sweet spot between inclusions and pricing – allowing people to really experience the highlights of the Philippines without breaking their budget. We noticed that many tour companies just offer the basics and don’t include the best activities. We wanted to make sure that everyone who joins us doesn’t have to worry about paying for lots of extras to have an awesome trip!
For those who want more, we offer optional add-ons to experience after each tour. These include scuba diving courses in Palawan, swimming with the whale sharks in Cebu, or the Boracay Party Pack.
You’ll meet heaps of new travel buddies and have everything taken care of, so you can kick back and enjoy yourself…you’re on holiday after all!
What is the average group size with One Life Adventures tours?
We focus on small group tours – between 5 and 14 guests. This is to make sure we can find a balance between the fun atmosphere of group travel, without our guests feeling like just a number. We want everyone who joins us to connect with each other, with our guides, and with the locals. This is why we will only ever take a maximum of 14 people.
How did the company start and what is the story behind One Life Adventures?
Like some of the best ideas, One Life Adventures was born after a few drinks around a table with travel buddies. The founders of One Life Adventures met in Thailand and began chatting about the Philippines at a street-food stall in Bangkok. It was on the beach of an island in Queensland a few months later we decided to take the plunge and form the company. The name ‘One Life Adventures’ was the first name we came up with on the boat back to the mainland, and we stuck with it! After all you only have one life, so make the most of it!
We both loved what the Philippines had to offer, and the fact that Palawan was still largely untouched by commercial tourism. Both of us have a combined 12 years of experience in owning and managing tourism businesses in Asia and Australia, so we felt we could really bring something unique to adventure-seekers around the world.
What are some of the coolest things that travellers can experience on a One Life Adventures tour?
Well where do we start?! The highlight for many customers is the natural beauty they’ll experience throughout the trip – with El Nido serving up some of the most spectacular views that the Philippines has to offer.
We’ve packed 10 days full of epic, unique adventures so whether you’re kicking back in a hammock on the beach with a cocktail, snorkeling amongst some of the most colourful reefs on the planet, or zip lining between two islands, you’ll be having a blast! We offer experiences that no other tour company offers. Our guests will go from partying in the super-clubs of Manila, to helping one of our local hosts prepare dinner on the beach of the beach camp. One day you’ll be jumping between islands on a custom built boat, and the next you’ll be greeting the sun at the top of a cliff. It doesn’t get much better than that!
