Rachel Farabaugh is an artist and entrepreneur with the brightest of spirits (she’s owner of the super rad Storenvy store, Bohemi + Chic). With her drive and eye for design, we had to take the opportunity to chat with her.
Creative, kind, and adventurous, you can expect to see Rachel strolling down the streets of Los Angeles looking effortlessly fabulous while enveloped in all the colors of the wind. When she’s not creating, she’s sharing her vision by Envying gorgeous women’s apparel, decor, and art.
Storenvy: Where are you from and where do you live now?
Rachel: I’m from Menominee, Michigan. I currently live in Los Angeles, and have been living here for the past five and a half years.
Storenvy: What’s your favorite song?
Rachel: It changes frequently. Right now it’s a tie between “Wolf” by First Aid Kit, and “Breezeblocks” by Alt-J.
Storenvy: What’s currently your favorite item in your closet?
Rachel: Black studded leather boots from Anine Bing.
Storenvy: If your soul was a color, what color would it be?
Rachel: White.
Storenvy: You’ve mastered bohemian chic! What’s the secret? Any styling tips you can give us?
Rachel: Thank you! I wear leggings or tight jeans paired with soft and flowing tops that are easy to layer with scarves and jackets. Top that off with a great pair of boots, a hat or headband, bracelets and feather earrings and you can’t go wrong. It’s all about looking effortless and comfortable in the clothes you wear, so choose a style that suites you well. It takes time to build a full closet of pieces to coordinate so make sure it’s a style you can own and love for more than one season.
Storenvy: What is your favorite Envy and why?
Rachel: I just love these necklaces because they’re the perfect balance of glam and natural elements. I prefer rougher cuts that show off the natural look of the stone over perfectly cut and polished pieces. This necklace is the perfect example of Bohemi+Chic!
Storenvy: What is your favorite Storenvy brand?
Rachel: Bachman’s Sparrow. It was this product above that first got my attention.
I’m kind of obsessed with headbands and am always on the lookout for new ones. When I saw this one photographed so beautifully, I immediately wanted it and had to check it out. I then discovered that it was made by a local artist who makes all of her pieces by hand in her studio. That is the kind of brand I can get behind and support!
