Tony Trujillo wearing the new Vans TNT SG

This post is a look at what Pro shoes we have received recently which have made an impact. Vans made one of the best Pro shoes ever in 1992 when they introduced the Half Cab. They have a deep history to draw from and have introduced many interesting shoes endorsed by different professionals over the years since then. We fondly remember the silhouettes Salman Agah and Mike Carroll ran with for instance. In recent years they have continued to work closely with Tony Trujillo, he is a Vans rider through and through and his new shoe the TNT SG reflects that...

In his own words this shoe "doesn't rip but it rips!". It is an instant classic, at first glance it could have been plucked from the vaults. It fuses elements of the Old Skool with a kind of Sk8-Hi toe piece. This is a much slimmer shoe than his first one, the sixth generation in it's evolution. We have received the first colourway and also this Antihero collaboration...

This shoe probably best represents what Tony Trujillo is all about, it is the best looking and most comfortable TNT shoe we have ever received. Another shoe company working closely with their riders is HUF. Although they are new to the footwear game compared to Vans they have made sure to pay attention to what their pros want from a shoe. It's almost a year ago since they first launched Dylan Rieder's shoe with this ad...

His shoe may not be everyones cup of tea but it's certainly interesting, we have it on good authority that it's super comfortable and it's nice to see HUF give Dylan the reigns design wise. They have released some interesting colourways since the initial release. Most recently we received the shoe in Black Leather/Croc...

This high-end fashion inspired shoe looks as dressy as can be in full grain leather with crocodile style side panels. Dylan's shoe definitely bucks all trends and follows it's own path which is always inspiring. Another interesting Pro model which we have had in quite a few different colours is The Ellington from Supra. This is his sixth Supra shoe and his favourite so far, it is also a favourite of Slam team rider Lucien Clarke. Here is Ellington having a Falling Down moment and taking a pair for a spin...

This is a recent high performance leather incarnation of this shoe...

This shoe combines a SUPRAFOAM footbed with a mesh sock liner. This means they offer impact support whilst being super comfortable with minimal slip factor. This is one of their best Pro shoes. We have done really well with it and Supra keep coming through with the colourways. Another company constantly introducing Pro shoes and representing the diverse team they have at their disposal is Nike SB. We recently put together a Lookbook with Nike SB to show off their SS15 range. Half of it is a video filmed by Mark Jackson at the start of the year. This features Slam team riders Daniel 'Snowy' Kinloch and Casper Brooker out on some bitterly cold weekend days in the city...

Nike SB created the most insanely popular Pro shoe when they gave Stefan Janoski the reigns designing his first model. This shoe was relatively slow moving at first but momentum gathered as everyone discovered just how good it was to skate in. It firmly remains part of their line each season. The shape he opted for, specifically the long toe box has informed so many shoe designs ever since. This lookbook heavily features Snowy and Casper wearing the updated Lunar Janoski...

This shoe has taken the ever popular Janoski upper and mounted it on a Lunar OneShot sole unit. We have had positive responses to how this shoe performs and recently received it in Wolf Grey and River Rock. In the closing shot of the Lookbook we see a glimpse of another new Nike SB Pro offering in the way of the Blazer Low GT. This shoe was released recently, a well deserved Pro model which was backed up by this video...

This is another good example of a shoe company creating the skateboarders vision. Grant Taylor favoured the Blazer as a canvas and made it his own. This Nike SB shoe is a kind of Blazer and Bruin love child which is instantly skateable and growing a fan base...

Our newest Blazer Low GT's are the Dark Grey one pictured and also a Black/Villain Red. This quick overview of the newest Pro shoes we have received represents what each of these companies are doing. There are some new releases on the cards from all of these guys including some brand new Pro models so stay tuned.
