In celebration of her new album Here, Alicia Keys gave a surprise performance last night in Times Square and brought out Jay Z for their hit collaboration “Empire State of Mind.”

Vibe reports that subscribers of Tidal were told ahead of time that there would be a free show in Times Square with vague details. But when it came to showtime, the “In Common” brought on some big names, including Nas, Quest Love, Q-Tip, and John Mayer.

The crowd went wild, having anticipated the two would be performing their 2009 hit as soon as Jay Z came onstage. Additionally, John Mayer and Quest Love came out for If I Ain’t Got You” and honored late legend John Lennon’s birthday with a cover of “Imagine. Nas and Q-Tip also came out, performing their own song “One Love.” Check out all the fan-filmed footage below.
