The Brief:

Rules of Challenge:
1. Designer must submit all designs directly on PrintedVillage.com design community by June 30th, 2016, 11:59pm. Designer may incorporate a discreet watermark on photo for copyright purposes. Image should be either in the template or a square JPG, at least 1000x1000 pixels.
2. On or before 7/7/2016, Winning Designer will be contacted via Facebook or email and given further instructions on how to complete the process to claim the prize.
3. Winning Designer will receive $500 prize in the form of check or PayPal transfer upon completion of the claim process. Winner will receive 2 free products of their winning print, and a 3% royalty on all sales from their design. The $500 covers the first $16,500 in sales, they’ll receive 3% on all sales after that point for 3 years, paid on an annual basis. After 3 years the print will be owned in full by Printed Village. If the design is licensed the designer will receive 3% of what Printed Village receives in licensing fees.
4. Each Designer retains 100% of the copyright in his or her submitted design. The winner will be required to transfer to Printed Village all rights in his or her winning design, in exchange for the prize award.
Employees of Printed Village are not eligible for contest.

By submitting a design into PrintedVillage.com’s Design Competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
You understand that PrintedVillage.com will evaluate your design (hereinafter the “Submission”) and will, in its sole discretion, choose a winning design. You retain all copyright in your design after submission, unless your design is the winning design and you complete the claim process. Even if your design is not the winning design, PrintedVillage.com may contact you regarding its interest in using or acquiring your design.
You confirm that the Submission you are uploading to PrintedVillage.com is an original work created by you the author, has never been published, and does not contain any logos, trademarks, copyrighted material, or any other intellectual property belonging to any third party.
You understand that PrintedVillage.com reserves the right to reject a Submission for any reason, at its sole discretion.
If PrintedVillage.com chooses your Submission as the winning design and you wish to complete the claim process, you will assign in writing the entire right, title, and interest in and copyright to your Submission, as well as all rights to sue for past infringement. Furthermore you will release all “moral” rights that you may have in and to your design.
Payment will be made to the designer of the winning Submission as follows: The Designer will receive $500, which will be paid once the Designer has completed the claim process and PrintedVillage.com has received a hi-res image deemed suitable for print only by PrintedVillage.com.
Those who do not comply with the terms and conditions set forth herein may, at the sole discretion of PrintedVillage.com, be refused the opportunity to submit his or her designs and may be excluded from this competition without notice.
All decisions made by PrintedVillage.com are final and binding, and PrintedVillage.com reserves the right to cancel the Design Competition at any time without notice.
