See how a busy new mom finds time for fitness and inspiration from other moms in the Peloton community.

We sat down with Polly K., a new mother and Peloton devotee, to see how she balances the full-time job of motherhood with taking time for herself. Read on to see what she has to say!

As a new mother, how do you juggle being a full-time mom and fitting in time to take care of your own health and wellness?

I try to simplify everything in my life so I can spend as much time as possible with my kids. I even do home grocery delivery so that I always have healthy food options at home for myself and my family without having to go to the supermarket. The Peloton bike has made it so easy to get in a full body workout every day. And even if I can’t get in a 45 minute workout, I know I can find an on-demand 20 minute ride that is super intense. It’s sort of like a home delivery workout!

How does being a Peloton mom change how you teach your children about the importance of health and wellness?

I love that my children get to watch me working out each day on my Peloton bike. I’m showing them the importance of making a commitment to working out to stay in shape and feel good.

How has the Peloton community motivated you as a new mother?

I recently completed my 50th ride and was amazed that other moms with whom I’ve conversed on the Official Peloton Rider Facebook page joined me to live-stream during my ride. The support and enthusiasm I received from them before and after completing that ride really made me feel part of a truly special community. We are all at different spots on the leaderboard–and in our lives–but all support each other no matter what, which is really cool.

I’ve also been motivated by my coach, Marion Roaman, who is also a #Pelotonmom and has inspired me to pull out the juicing machine that my husband claims I had to have but never use. Haha! Marion is always giving me shout-outs during her “afternoon quickie” classes, and was one of the women who gave me major support during my 50th ride. I couldn’t have done it without her!
