We had so much fun hosting a Game Night for our latest campaign that we thought we’d share four of our favorite party recipes — a dice-inspired buttercream cake, a Rubik’s cheese cube, quick cheddar fondue, and Sriracha popcorn.

At our party, the pièce de résistance was a campy red velvet cake fashioned after a pair of dice, followed by a few simple and easy savory treats. To achieve the cake we created above, we simply baked a few red velvet cakes in square baking tins, layered them together with vanilla buttercream, and topped it all off with a few strategically placed Oreo cookies before serving up over a game of cards.

If you find yourself frustrated trying to solve your Rubik’s cube, take a quick break and finish this one off in no time!

1. For bite-sized cubes, measure 1/2-inch squares. (In retrospect, for a centerpiece cube, I would measure them to be 1 inch!)

2. Cut at least nine equal-sized cubes of each cheese. You’ll have plenty leftover!

3. Build your cube by alternating the cheeses. In true Rubik’s fashion, you’ll be done when there is nine on each side.

4. Serve with contrasting, delicious pumpernickel sliced bread.

If you’ve recently acquired a retro fondue set, we’ve got the perfect recipe for giving it a whirl!

Gather these tools: cutting board, chef’s knife, dry and wet measuring cups, measuring spoons, mixing bowl, whisk, medium saucepan, fondue pot and forks

1. Using your hands, toss the shredded cheddar cheese with cornstarch in a large bowl. Set aside.

2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, whisk the milk, mustard, Worcestershire, salt, white pepper, and nutmeg, stirring occasionally, until it is hot and begins to gently bubble. Using a whisk, gradually add in the cheese. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted and mixture is smooth and bubbling. Season to taste with additional salt and pepper if necessary.

3. Pour the mixture into a fondue pot or bread bowl. Serve immediately with bread, fruit, vegetables, or meat with fondue forks or skewers.

Craving a salty, spicy snack? Jazz up a simple bowl of popcorn with this cult-favorite sauce.

1. Put the kernels in the lunch bag and fold the top down two times. Place in the microwave on its side and cook on high for 3 minutes and 45 seconds (microwaves vary so much…keep an eye on yours, you may need a bit more or a bit less time).

2. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, Sriracha and salt.

3. When the popcorn is done, immediately pour into a large bowl and drizzle on the Sriracha mixture while tossing the popcorn with a large spoon.
