Amsterdam, Holland
You and your best bud should totally get a tandem and ride along the picturesque canals together as you explore this intriguing European city. Make sure you wake up early to soak up Amsterdam’s varied history; take a tour of Anne Frank’s House and stroll through the Van Gogh museum. After a busy morning of sightseeing and cycling, make your way to one of the famous Amsterdam cafés for some chill out time, before enjoying an evening in the bars and clubs. The best known nightspots are the Escape and Melkweg, both with top DJs to get you and your friend dancing the night away.
Magaluf, Majorca
If you want to share the ultimate friendship experience and be each other’s wingman/woman, then the party playground of Magaluf is perfect. With some of the best nightlife in Europe, it’s a top clubbing destination; relax on the beach during the day, before heading to the BCM nightclub to bust some moves. Mallorca Rocks Hotel is the coolest place to enjoy your party holiday; top music acts, such as Example and Professor Green, are performing at the Mallorca Rocks venue this year! If you fancy a few thrills, then the nearby water park will make the ideal day out. Don’t forget to take plenty of pictures for your “forever friends” album…or maybe not, but it’ll be good for Facebook.
Disney World, Florida.
Exploring Walt Disney World with your BFF makes the experience more magical than if you went on your own. In fact going here without your closest friends should be illegal, as we believe Disney World is the true personification of friendship…or something like that anyway. Head to the Magic Kingdom where the teacups, Big Thunder Mountain and, of course, the Peter Pan ride are all waiting for you. If you’re a fan of animals, then why not head to the Animal Kingdom park? Here you’ll have the opportunity to explore the enormous nature reserve whilst watching lions, tigers and zebras roaming around. In the evening, head to Pleasure Island in Downtown Disney, where the daily firework display makes it feel like New Year’s Eve every night.
Athens, Greece.
Perhaps you and your mate are looking to combine scorching sunshine with some fascinating ancient history? Athens oozes historical landmarks and monuments, such as the Parthenon temple, the Panathenaic Stadium and the Theatre Dionyssou. While you’re here, find time to sample fresh vine leaves and stuffed olives at a traditional Greek taverna; ironically some of the best tavernas can be found in the Turkish quarter of the city, so be on the lookout. Make sure you wash you evening meal down with a shot of Raki. The pair of you can enjoy each other’s company as you sit in an outside bar, relishing the warm evenings. Why not head to the Plaki area and enjoy some traditional Greek music where you might even see some plate smashing?
Funchal, Madeira.
Funchal on the peaceful island of Madeira would be ideal if you and your bezza are looking to relax in a beautiful environment. Enjoy excellent weather all year round as you explore the stunning lido beach or hike high into the mountains, following the many levada trails. Why not share a ‘Free Willy’ or Flipper moment with your friend and go for a spot of whale watching? For those of you in competitive friendships, we recommend a round of golf at Palheiro Golf Club, which can be found just on the outskirts of the city. Although, if the idea of competing against your beloved buddy is too much for you, then a spot of yoga – as you breathe in the countryside air – would be much better suited to your friendship.
