We thought it would be rude not to let you know that lowcostholidays.com are offering a whopping 50% off all holiday deals for August and September bookings.  We haven’t been this excited since they invented padded sun loungers!

For those of you who haven’t already scooped up one of these 50% off deals, here’s a little holiday inspiration to get you in the mood.

Cyprus:

This summer, why not fall for Cyprus? Otherwise known as the island of love and the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, there’s plenty to admire. Head to any one of the sandy beaches and you’ll be tempted with a dip in the sea; this June the European Environment Agency announced they’re the cleanest bathing waters in the whole of Europe, so go ahead and enjoy! When you’re suitably tanned to impress your family back home, indulge in some historic sight-seeing by visiting the Tombs of Kings, an ancient cemetery that’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Follow it up with a tour of the Temple of Apollo and stroll along the ancient Greek amphitheatre in Paphos.  If you want to get to grips with the great outdoors, head to the Troodos Mountains where you can investigate the forest’s wildlife and scale the highest peaks. With your trip being up to 50% off, you’ll save more to spend on food so don’t forget to sample authentic Cypriot cuisine; try meze and moussaka after you’ve worked up an appetite.

Majorca:

Choose one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe for your summer holiday. This Balearic Island is the place to head to in August and September if you’re a sun worshipper, as the average temperature rarely drops below 25 degrees.  For those of you craving a week long party, Magaluf is the place to go. Dance ‘til the early hours in the famous BCM nightclub or watch world famous DJ’s at the legendary Majorca Rocks Hotel. For families after some well-needed sun, sea and sand then Alcudia is an ideal choice: the nearby waterpark will certainly provide laughter for the kids as they throw themselves down the slides.  Active couples who want to enjoy the islands more traditional side should make their way to the stunning mountainous region of Soller. This resort makes a great base before cycling off into the Tramuntana Mountains to explore intimate Spanish towns.

Florida:

Enjoy thrills and spills at the theme park capital of the world for less, with the chance to face your fears and discover the most magical place on earth. This year’s latest attractions include the new Despicable Me ride at Universal Studios. Then there’s the 3D Transformers simulation ride for a chance to conquer the Megabot transformer. The magic of Disney World awaits you at the doors of Cinderella’s castle but if one castle isn’t enough you can explore the two new additions: the Beast’s castle from Beauty and the Beast as well as Prince Eric’s castle from the Little Mermaid. Wizarding fans will be in their element at the spell-binding Harry Potter World at the Island of Adventure attractions too. Alternatively, if you want to submerge yourself in water to cool down after a day hitting the rollercoasters, head to the Wet ‘n Wild waterpark. Here you can take a splash on the new Blastaway Beach, the largest water play area in Florida, for endless fun with the whole family – what more could you possibly want?

The Algarve:

The Algarve is a popular holiday destination among families and couples after Portuguese sun, stunning Blue Flag beaches and delectable cuisine. The much loved resort of Albufeira boasts long sandy beaches and calm waters, perfect for the little ones to build sand castles and paddle. There’s even one of Portugal’s biggest waterparks nearby to keep the kids entertained. At Aqualand you’ll find the 100 metre high Kamikaze Slide, Lazy Rivers and the Crazy Race Slide – ideal for a bit of friendly family competition. Furthermore, Albufeira has recently been voted as the best value holiday destination in a report by the Post Office. What with that and lowcostholidays.com’s fantastic 50% off deal, you’ll have money left over for another holiday! For dreamy eyed couples, the small fishing village Carvoeiro is ideal; there are plenty of secluded coved beaches to explore and traditional white washed restaurants providing the perfect setting for candle lit dinners. Be sure to try the Portuguese speciality grilled sardines – delicious served with salad and a crisp Portuguese wine.
