It was recently claimed that one of the reasons Real Madrid were so happy to cash in on Angel Di Maria to Manchester United was that they didn’t consider him handsome enough to be part of their squad.
Fair enough, the men of Madrid are a bunch of well-honed, muscle-bound athletes who could make most women swoon with one flash of their chiselled thighs.
But the idea that Di Maria was linking up with an inferior bunch in the looks stakes is not one that makes any sense at all.
As the graphic below proves, United boast an array of dreamboat footballers, both past and present and can fight it out with the best of them for space in front of the mirror.
