Content is our top priority for each How to Web Conference, so it’s only natural that we seek to invite extraordinary people as speakers, whether they’re entrepreneurs, tech professionals, investors or any other type of specialists.

We select speakers based on their experience and knowledge of their field, which must be relevant to your needs. Always aiming for top compatibility between your objectives for the conference and the pertinent advice our speakers can share, we build the How to Web agenda based on current needs, market trends and essential information that can help you be one step ahead at all times.

After announcing our first speakers, we’d like to introduce a new series of sharp guests, whose stories are not at all about PR and a lot about their hard-earned accomplishments.

Florin Talpes, Bitdefender CEO, is one of the most respected entrepreneurs in Romania, bearing the incredible experience of building Bitdefender, the company that produces the highest performing security solutions in the industry, on a global level, and the most well known Romanian IT brand.

Founded in 2011, Bitdefender is now a company whose products are internationally distributed through a network of proprietary partners in over 100 countries and used by 0.5 billion users around the world (100 million of which are located in China). By maintaining a startup mindset among its 650+ employees, Bitdefender manages to preserve its agility in all aspects, with its performance confirmed by winning PC Mag’s Editor’s Choice 5 times in a row!

Moreover, Bitdefender is one of the most active supporters of the local tech ecosystem, providing resources for entrepreneurs and getting involved in startup support programs.

Michael Ni, Chief Marketing Officer/Senior Vice President Marketing and Products at Avangate, has over 20 years of experience in bringing successful innovation-driven businesses to market – from startups to Fortune 500 companies. His background of working hands-on with tech products from their early stages to being used by millions is a fantastic source of actionable advice that can validate your assumptions and indicate what can be improved.

Avangate was founded in 2006 by Radu Georgescu, renowned Romanian entrepreneur and former How to Web speaker, as part of the GECAD family of companies. Since then, the company has become an outstanding player in the international market for digital commerce, enabling companies to accelerate online sales through any channel, any model and any market. In October 2013, Francisco Partners, a leading global VC, acquired Avangate, supporting its growth further.

Carlos Espinal, Partner at Seedcamp, has both the keen eye of a VC and the ideal mix of tech experience that make him a key authority in the European startup ecosystem. Carlos’ background includes working as a venture capitalist at Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures, an early stage investment firm based in London, working as an engineer for the Advanced Communications Technologies group of The New York Stock Exchange (SIAC) and more.

His strong love for cutting edge technologies and his understanding of the VCs’ mindset gives him the ability to lead a startup’s acceleration experience from initial investment to Seedcamp Academy and beyond, ranging in topics from company formation issues, strategy, fundraising, legals, and more. Consequently, Carlos’ standards for accepting a startup into the elite Seedcamp acceleration program are very high, but he can also share precious advice on how you can work to becoming eligible. A long time friend of How to Web’s, we’re looking forward to having Carlos on stage this year. Until then, you can check out his blog, which is a great resource for in depth advice on the startup world.

So here they are, three more reasons to attend How to Web Conference 2014, the opportunity you can explore to gain perspective on the tech industry, hard-headed knowledge on how to develop tech products and tangible advice on how to push your startup to the next level.
