We have completed our integration of Hitbox and Azubu and proudly present our new platform: Smashcast. Revealed today are new designs, features and apps along with our new video production studio!

It is with great pride that we announce our new platform: Smashcast. Starting today, we have officially gone live online at www.smashcast.tv and on your App Store & Google Play store!

If you access both www.hitbox.tv and www.azubu.tv, you will be redirected to the new Smashcast location. Mobile updates will automatically be reset to the updated company name and new Smashcast feature set.

In addition to a new clean and more accessible look-and-feel, we have launched a viewer engagement feature this month as well – called the “Hype-o-Meter” – intended to let esports fans cheer for their favorite team during esports tournaments and more tightly couple the broadcaster-to-viewer connection.

“We’re excited to announce the completion of the merger of Hitbox and Azubu, along with the launch of the new Smashcast company name and brand. The new Hype-o-Meter feature for viewer engagement is just the first step in our long-term vision to create the best broadcaster-to-viewer experience in the world of esports and gaming.”

-Mike McGarvey, CEO of Smashcast

We are also pleased to announce our state-of-the-art content production studio in Vienna, Austria. This represents a core component of our strategy to more fully integrate into the world of esports and to ensure that not only our technology is first-rate but that the content streaming on the service is of the highest quality possible.

“The new Vienna production facility is a key next step for us in ensuring the quality of support we provide our broadcasting and publishing partners. We wanted specifically to ensure that we are differentiated from our competitors not only from our platform and technology excellence, which includes full 4k and 360 VR support, but from the quality of streaming content as well.”

–Martin Klimscha, European Managing Director of Smashcast
