There are days when I just don’t have enough time to make it to the gym. But no matter what happens I always try to fit in a workout even if it doesn’t involve weights. Some of my favorite exercises that you can do in your apartment or bedroom are push-ups, different variations of set ups, wall sits, lunges, and even yoga. You don’t always have to hit the gym to get a great workout you just have to push yourself. It also helps to have someone to motivate you. Staying #focused on the task at hand. Don’t just go through your #exercise . Concentrate on the movement and what exactly you’re trying to achieve. Here I’m performing a wide grip #pull-up which is a great upper back/ #lat builder, keeping my shoulder blades back and bringing my elbows in towards me helps ensure that my lats are engaged. Can’t perform pull-ups? A short #video of one of my sets of paused #squats last week. If you have access to a #power rack, I’d recommend using that for these to help get a true pause. Also, make sure and use a significantly lighter weight than you would as opposed to your normal squat weight. Here I’m using around 20% less than my normal 6 rep max. Now I’m not one of those that thinks carbs are the enemy, they are good for you and important to have balanced nutrition. It’s time for some AB ATTACK! Oblique twist – 1 minute Frog Crunch – 1 minute Row Boats – 1 minute Side Plank Crunch – 30 sec each side Plank w knee pull – 30 sec. Plank w hIp drops – 30 sec. This quick 5 minute routine is something you can do anywhere. No special equipment is needed, except maybe a mat or towel. Try fitting this quick routine in during your favorite tv show or during commercial breaks. Do each love for 1 minute, last two moves do for 30 seconds each. I teach fitness classes at the local YMCA; Spinning, Les Mills #bodypump #cxworx & circuit training/boot camp. That doesn’t include the days I ocr train so yeah I get tired and these new darn hot flashes are out of control but once I step out of my car at the Y my mood instantly changes. I get inspired & happy to see people ready to workout in my classes. They come to be healthier, be pushed, be stronger so regardless if I’m tired or not….it’s on & oh heck yeah they are getting their workout! Find that thing…. ⭐that makes you SMILE! ⭐that makes you HAPPY! ⭐that brings JOY to your heart! ⭐that FUELS your passion!
