Koh Samui is one of those paradise islands to spend your holiday in Thailand. Everything you could have dreamt of is there, from white sandy beaches, turquoise clear waters, and fun things to do that will let you with unforgettable memories.

1. Snookah Dive – Explore the underwater World without any diving certification!

The Gulf of Thailand is well known as a world famous diving destination. With its warm, calm, clear waters, the Gulf has become one of the most popular places worldwide for new divers to take the plunge and experience their first breaths underwater. Whilst SCUBA diving can be found all over Thailand, Snookah Diving has got to be the most unique way to try diving in all of Thailand! Snookah is perfect for those eager to try real diving and explore the underwater world, but unwilling to invest the time or money involved with traditional SCUBA diving. A tried and tested system popular in over 70 countries worldwide, this style of diving is unique to Koh Samui and can’t be found anywhere else in Thailand.

Snookah allows you to dive at your comfort level guided by highly trained and professionally certified SCUBA instructors without the need for long orientations or complicated and heavy equipment. No previous experience is necessary and you don’t even have to be a strong swimmer! At half the price of a traditional Discover SCUBA Diving experience and only slightly more expensive than a snorkelling trip, Snookah is the best value try diving experience in all of Thailand and you’re guaranteed to have a blast! Enjoying over 3 years of 100% customer safety and satisfaction, Snookah Diving is without a doubt one of the most unique and fun things to try on Koh Samui.

2- Bungy Jump – Get your adrenaline pumping!

Koh Samui is already famous for its outdoor activities, yet Samui Bungy Jump has got to be one of the highlights. With its stunning natural scenery, clear blue skies and warm tropical climate, Koh Samui is without a doubt the best place in Thailand to experience your first jump! Samui Bungy Jump is easy enough to find; located in the middle of Chaweng, it’s pretty hard to miss the bungy’s 50m high crane towering high above the lake. Western own and operated for over 14 years, Samui Bungy jump has welcomed over 40,000 jumpers from all over the world without a single incident to date and is one of Samui’s most popular attractions. You’re escorted up the crane by a fully qualified jump-master who’s there to make sure you’re safe and egg you on, should you need that extra bit of encouragement. Enjoy the stunning views of Chaweng for a few seconds before letting yourself go and experience the thrill of bungy jumping!

It’s well-known that the rush felt from bungy jumping comes not from how high you jump, but rather how close you get to the floor and their custom 3.5m deep pool allows you to go beyond the floor and into the water! After your jump, it’s time to relax in the Bungy Bar whilst watching your taped jump and enjoying a cold drink. Samui Bungy jump is also one of the only places in Thailand to offer the “Superman” or “Rocketman” jump. Rather than jumping off the crane, you’re shot up into the air like a giant slingshot, perfect for those looking for an alternative jump. What makes Samui Bungy jump so special is that it’s really the only place that can offer this amazing combination of adrenaline fuelled adventure, breath taking views and wonderful tropical weather!

3 – Night Time Paddleboarding – Stand Up Paddle with a Twist

Stand Up Paddleboarding is gaining popularity worldwide and Koh Samui is no exception. With many beachside outlets on Samui already offering SUP boards for daytime rental, Paddleboard Samui has come out with a new, unique alternative to the standard paddlesports available on Koh Samui. Paddleboard Samui offer guided night trips on hybrid paddleboard/kayak combinations equipped with custom LED lights which allow you to experience Koh Samui’s idyllic coastline by night and enjoy a unique private viewing of some of the island’s best night time beach life and shows! The hybrid paddlboards used are super stable making this activity available to anyone aged 10 and above. Thanks to their catamaran shaped hull, you can choose to sit, stand, kneel or even lay down. Perfect for beginners and experience paddlers alike, a guided night time paddleboard trip provides a much needed alternative to the typical night time offerings on Koh Samui. Guided by professional, rescue certified guides, trips depart just after sunset so you can fully appreciate the novelty of the custom LED lights.

Paddle at your own pace, out of the heat of the day with the lights illuminating area of up to 20m around and 5m below the board, attracting a variety of small marine life right to your board and turning heads as you glide down the beach! So whether you’re looking for a romantic evening out on the water with your significant other, a great alternative night out for you and your friends or simply looking for something new and exciting, night boarding is definitely one of the most fun and unique things to do on Koh Samui. Not to be missed!

4- Bar Ice – Cool down in the World’s only tropical island Ice Bar

Even though other ice bars have sprung up throughout Thailand, Bar Ice Samui is arguably Thailand’s best and most authentic ice bar. The world’s only tropical island -7-degree ice bar is constructed entirely out of ice (including the walls, bar, seating and even your own personal glass!) and is home to some great ice sculptures, most notably their famous full sized Tuk-Tuk. Bar Ice’s owners take pride in being able to run the place as closely to “western” standards as possible. Drink prices are reasonable and a few great value drinks packages can be purchased, which include unlimited access to the ice bar throughout the night rest of your vacation.

After you’ve had your fun and taken your photos, you’re free to relax in the air-conditioned lounge bar or their outdoor tropical garden, the perfect place to warm up! Live entertainment is on offer most nights and the bars are staffed by some of the friendliest people on the island who’ll keep you coming back for more. Located in the busy town of Chaweng, the best way to get to Bar Ice is to hop onto their free shuttle bus travelling along the popular Chaweng beach road.

*Open daily from 4PM to 2AM

5- Jungle Club (Take in the island’s best views)

Recommended by Lonely Planet, the Jungle Club is a secluded mountain resort built on a coconut plantation high up in the hills between Chaweng and Lamai. Although hillside bars are common all over Thailand, the Jungle Club is in a class of its own. You’re picked up and transported up the steep mountain road in the resort’s very own 4X4, which in itself adds a nice unique touch to the whole experience, before laying eyes on the reason the Jungle Club is so popular – the stunning views!

Perhaps Koh Samui’s best kept secret, the beautiful multi-level bar/restaurant offers a laid back, back-to-nature vibe. It’s the perfect setting for a quiet meal or sunset cocktail amongst friends. Relax and unwind with a drink in one of the secluded bamboo salas or on traditional Thai cushions laid out across their wooden deck, all whilst taking in breath-taking views of Chaweng Bay and the Gulf of Thailand. The kind French-Thai family who owns the Jungle Club is always around making sure you’re well taken care of and the serene and calm atmosphere coupled with the spectacular views gives the Jungle Club a truly unique feel.

*Opens every day from 8AM to 10PM.
