AP® Physics Exam Preparation Courses

Get ready for your exams with some outstanding prep courses from top universities and institutions. All courses are online and available for free with new ones starting throughout the year.

Rice University has developed an outstanding series of courses to prepare students for the AP® physics 1 and 2 exams. The first one starts on September 8th, 2015 with more following throughout the year. Courses are designed to give students a deep understanding of all topics in physics as well as an understanding of the AP® physics exam and the types of questions that will be presented. Review sample multiple choice and free response questions, watch step-by-step tutorial videos, collaborate in online study forums and learn from expert physics teachers and Rice University professors. All courses are free and students are strongly encouraged to take these courses to accompany their in-class instruction.

Davidson Next has put together an exceptional online course and study guide that focuses on the most difficult topics of AP® Physics 1 & 2. Gain a clear understanding of acceleration, momentum, rotational motion and much more with instructional videos, practice problems and exam-style questions. This course is designed to be taken with your classroom AP® Physics course but can also be taken independently.

Weston High School offers a short online course to prepare for the AP® Physics C: Mechanics exam. The 10-15 hour course covers algebra and trigonometry for advanced mechanics as well as the kinematics of motion and Newton’s laws.

Georgetown University offers an in-depth online course in introductory electricity and magnetism using calculus. Learn electrostatics, conductors, capacitors, dielectrics, magnetic fields and more in this 8-week free online course.

AP® Physics 1

This comprehensive test prep course runs September through May and is designed to take alongside the high school AP® Physics course. Students are expected to spend approximately 6 hours per week watching video instruction, participating in online labs and answering practice questions similar to what will be found on the actual exam.
