If “off the beaten path” is on your list of holiday destinations, then Millthorpe is definitely someplace you should look into. The Black Sheep Inn is a unique place to stay near Millthorpe in the town of Orange. The inn was originally a shearing shed, which really showcases the historic value of staying here in the middle of farm country. However, the amenities at the inn are from from antique and you will be quite happy with the luxury accommodations and breath-taking views of the countryside.

Renting a Car for a Trip to Millthorpe

Millthorpe is located in central New South Wales west of Sydney. It is near the towns of Orange and Bathurst. The Black Sheep Inn is located in Orange. Because this region is remote, you will want to hire a vehicle suitable for the rugged outback and drive in. When you have your own car or truck while staying in the town of Millthorpe or at the Black Sheep Inn is ideal so that you can explore the rugged terrain around you. Hiring a car at the Dubbo Airport is about a 2 hour drive to Millthorpe. You can also hire a car at one of the many Budget car rental locations in Sydney.
