It is that time of the year when the shutterbugs in France and the fashion police across the globe have their eyes on the Cannes red carpet. And when it comes to appearances at the festival, Bollywood, over the decade, has been very prominent at the festival . With Aishwarya Rai Bachchan leading the pack, over the years a bevy of Indian stars have followed suit. This year, Katrina Kaif has made her debut at the prestigious film festival. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya can be easily called as the ‘Face of India’ at the Cannes. She made her debut at the festival in the year 2002 for the screening of her film ‘Devdas’ co starring Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit. Since then, till date she has been casting a spell at The Cannes Film festival.
Shah Rukh Khan
Once a King, always a King. And the thing about Shah Rukh is that he has always been one. He made his first and only appearance at the festival, arriving in a horse drawn carriage along with co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. And the gentleman that Khan is, he also made sure Ash lands safely on the red carpet.
Amitabh Bachchan
Celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema as well as to representing his Hollywood debut The Great Gatsby, Big B made an appearance at the 2013 edition of the festival.
