Over the last few years, women’s only business events have becoming increasingly popular. This comes as no surprises as women now outnumber men in the workforce, but still find it difficult to reach senior level positions.Women’s events have also become popular to help women in specific male dominated sectors like technology, to overcome common barriers.To help those searching with world-class womens events, we’ve compiled a list of 50 of the most incredible events happening this year.Throughout 2016, we’ll update our list of women’s events as more gatherings become publicized.

February Events

Women's Growth Leadership Summit February 3-6, 2016

Denver, Colorado

Women Grow is an advocacy and networking non-profit for women in the cannabis industry. In addition to regular regional member meet-ups, there’s an annual summit for growers, advocates and entrepreneurs. Musician Melissa Etheridge has just been added to the speaking line-up.

Women of Wisdom February 11-15, 2016

Seattle, Washington

Though more on the motivational than the business side of things, career oriented women looking at alternative strategies to getting ahead might want to check out this annual exploration of physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Unlike some other women’s conferences, men are welcome to only some of these women’s events.

TED February 15th – 19th, 2016

Vancouver, BC, Canada

Another important annual conference for international movers and shakers, TED is all about the exchange of new ideas. You must apply to attend but once there you’ll be in the best of company: producer Shonda Rimes, choreographer Bill T. Jones and climate advocate Al Gore will all be presenting this year.

Wisdom 2.0 February 20 – 22, 2016

San Francisco, California

As Wired describes it, this generalist gathering for heavy-hitters is: "Where the technology and contemplative communities ... hash out the best ways to incorporate these tools into our lives..." The event attracts a good mix of male and female speakers, this year including spiritual leader Ram Dass and clothing tycoon Eileen Fisher. Later in the year, watch for Wisdom 2.0 Asia, upcoming in Singapore.

Sisters in Solidarity IBEW February 24 – 27, 2016

Los Angeles, California

Around the world, there are many female members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). The sisters of the brotherhood meet every other year for talks, plenary sessions and workshops in advocacy and labour organization, it’s a very niche women’s event, but it’s perfect for women in the electrical trade.

Lesbians Who Tech Summit February 25-28, 2016

San Francisco, California

This is the only event focused on increasing visibility and tech participation in two historically underrepresented communities in tech: women and LGBTQ. Allies of all genders are also welcome for a full agenda of workshops and talks covering coding, robotics, and how to fight the patriarchy.

March Events

Women’s Leadership and Empowerment Conference March 1-3, 2016

Bangkok, Thailand

This international event consists of a three-day program divided into study sessions on leadership and empowering disadvantaged groups. Presentations are based on submitted papers, with time for open discussions related to key leadership issues. Author and motivational speaker Jane Hight McMurray (The Etiquette Advantage) is among the confirmed speakers.

Launch Festival March 2-4, 2016

San Francisco, California

While not a women’s only event, this is a must-attend for women in tech. This is the largest startup event in the world with 15,000 attendees, four stages, and 250 speakers focused on helping founders build, scale, and fund the next generation of outstanding companies. Female founders simply must attend this event, especially since female startup founders can go for free.

We Move Forward (WMF) March 3 – 6, 2016

Isla Mujeres, Mexico

This International Women’s Day conference, retreat and celebration takes a holistic approach to women in the workforce, offering sessions in mindfulness and wellbeing as well as career strategies. This year’s speakers include singer Bif Naked and journalist Paula Todd. Now in its fifth year, WMF takes place on the idyllic Island of Women, near Cancun.

Women’s Business Leadership Conference March 9, 2016

Tulsa, Oklahoma

The Center for Executive and Professional Development at Oklahoma State University’s Spears School for Business has been hosting this annual womens event for 25 years. Not surprisingly there’s a focus on intergenerational mentorship and support for women in business.

Variety Massive Entertainment Marketing Summit March 10, 2016

Los Angeles, California

There are lots of women speakers on the roster at this event dedicated to business and shared ideas between advertisers, studio and TV content partners, digital media brands and next-generation technology leaders. Also watch for Variety’s Entertainment and Technology Summit in New York later in May.

Women in Aviation (WIA) Conference March 10 – 12, 2016

Nashville, Tennessee

If you are a woman involved in some aspect of aviation this is your go-to event.There are some fascinating speakers lined up – including Megan Barry, Mayor of Nashville and Jessica Cox, the world’s first certificated armless pilot – and a full slate of seminars, workshops and clinics for pilots, controllers, aerospace engineers, educators and maintenance workers. This online womens event brings together women in technology from around the globe during International Women’s Day. This womens networking evemt presented by WWCode's, is a tech conference will bring together industry leaders from around the world to share stories and expertise about tech trends and career advancement for women in technology.

Women Deliver May 16-19, 2016

The world’s largest global conference on the health, wellbeing and rights of girls and women in the last decade convenes for the fourth edition, this time in Denmark.
