We are pleased to announce that following our acquisition by Zendesk, BIME Analytics has updated its Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. For our customers, we think this is great news and will improve your experience.

Effective January 8, 2016, we’ll be implementing updates to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. We take our responsibilities to our customers seriously and value transparency in our interactions, so we’ve put together this summary of the more significant changes. We understand it can be tempting not to bother reading these, but it really is important. Please note that this is also just a summary of the changes. I urge you to review the updated Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy carefully to fully understand them.

Here are some key highlights of the changes we have made:

Terms of Service

Explanation of and Permitted Uses of the Service

We’ve made changes to our Terms of Service to detail how our subscriber can use our service and the governing law that applies to your use of the service. Within the sections entitled, “General Conditions; Access To And Use Of The Service” and “Export Compliance And Use Restrictions” we set forth the permitted and unpermitted uses of the service including general prohibitions that service to protect us, you and our other users.

Data Privacy and Security

We’ve added new descriptions about how we protect and secure your Service Data in the updated Terms of Service. Namely, we describe how we maintain commercially reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of Service Data. These safeguards include encryption of Service Data in transmission (using TLS or similar technologies), except for certain Other Services (as the term is defined in the Terms of Service) that do not support encryption, which you may use through the service at your election.

Billing and Payment

There is a section in the updated Terms of Service entitled, “Billing, Plan Modifications And Payments” which details how we charge for the service and how you hereinafter pay for the service.

Service Subscription Term

The updated Terms of Service now contain a section entitled, “Cancellation and Termination” which provides you with an explanation about how your subscription term is renewed and can be cancelled.  Specifically, you may elect to terminate your account and subscription to the service as of the end of your then current subscription term by providing us notice on or prior to the date thirty days preceding the end of the subscription term. If you do not elect to cancel, and we hope that you do not, your account and subscription to the service will just renew for a subsequent subscription term equal in length to your expiring subscription term.
