Description: Silvermine is coming to downtown! Its popular holiday sale expands this year to two locations. In addition to the annual Silvermine School of Art Faculty and Student Holiday Sale at the arts center on Silvermine Road, a gallery pop-up exhibit and sale of work by the Guild artists will join in the fun at the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce’s annual Holiday Stroll beginning December 2 at 5 p.m.

Description: A holiday custom for the past 43 years, featuries musical entertainment and festive family activities in the midst of decorative trees and wreaths created by community organizations and local artists, on view in the museum’s galleries for a limited time.

Event: Wickford Festival of Lights

Description: Normally Santa Claus travels by sleigh to different areas of the world. However, his entrance into the Ocean State is a little different — it’s by boat! Description: The charming city of Newport is ready to kick off the holiday season with its forty-sixth annual tree lighting. The event starts at 4:30 p.m. with the one, the only, Frosty the Snowman — we hope for his sake that it snows, but for our sake that it doesn’t.
