THURSDAY
Photocircle is opening their first offline gallery for contemporary fine art photography in the heart of Berlin! Over 500 international photographers sell their pictures on Photocircle’s website. Up to 50% of the total price goes towards an educational or development project in the region in which the picture was taken. With the opening of this gallery they would like to further promote contact and interaction between people and art, showcase a cross-section of their portfolio and provide a platform for exchange on intersections between art, humanism and politics.

SUNDAY
Every last Sunday in April (since 2002) the Japanese Kirschblütenfest Hunami is celebrated along the Berlin Wall pathway in Teltow/Berlin Lichterfelde. Shortly after the fall of the Wall, the Japanese TV-Asahi-Group organized a fundraising project with the aim to pretty up the former border through an avenue of Japanese cherry trees! Hanami literally means “looking at flowers” and is a symbol of impermanence, togetherness, new life and hope! So take a nice Sunday-walk under the cherry blossom trees!
Event: Kirschblütenfest – Hanami
Date: 23th of April 2015
Time: 17:00h
