From posters on their walls to tattoos on their body, sports fans are some of the most loyal of supporters on the planet, never afraid to show love for their teams.

And while we all drop hundreds or even thousands of dollars on tickets and memorabilia, a few fans take things up a notch by getting a customized paint job on their cars, proving that they're the No. 1 fan in town no matter where they go.

Since there have been more than a few to do it, I figured I would show you some of the coolest sports fan cars around—so keep an eye for these on the streets.

12. Ohio State Buckeyes Truck

One of the most recognizable helmets in all of sports, anytime the national title-winning Ohio State Buckeyes take the gridiron, fans go nuts.

That's understandable, too, seeing how their fans are often referred to as Bucknuts, with supporters of the scarlet and gray doing anything they can to show their love for tOSU.

And one fan took things to an awesome level, customizing his truck to look exactly like a Buckeyes helmet, complete with the Buckeyes decals and all.

11. North Carolina Tar Heels Heel Raiser

Allegedly, the owner of this North Carolina Tar Heels car called the Heel Raiser got the idea after seeing a similar ride during a Clemson Tigers game in 2003.

Rather than sit around and let another ACC rival's fan bring spirit to his team, though, the UNC dude took action by making his own.

So he bought a Hearse for $1,000, chromed out nearly everything and customized a horn that plays the Carolina fight song.

Talk about being a big-time fan.

10. Philadelphia Eagles' "Eagle One" Bus

Seeing as how the Philadelphia Eagles fans once booed Santa Claus during a game, it's safe to say that they are a little bit passionate about their NFL team.

And when people in Philly want to tailgate before an Eagles game by chowing on cheesesteaks in their LeSean McCoy jersey, flying over to the Eagle One bus is the best decision they can do.

Featured on the Travel Channel, this bus cost $300,000 and is about the finest luxury tailgate mobile I've ever seen.

9. Dallas Cowboys-Themed Car

I don't even know where to start with this one, because it is just out of control.

With the faces of former and current Dallas Cowboys players and coaches like Drew Pearson, Tom Landry, Dez Bryant, Jimmy Johnson, Michael Irvin and a massive face of Troy Aikman on it, this is like a T-shirt design gone bad.

Still, there's something to be said about the boldness of loving a team as much as this Cowboys fan does, driving around their town to prove that they really are America's Team.

8. University of Kentucky Coach Cal Mustang

As an alum of the University of Kentucky, I saw firsthand just how ridiculously diehard the Wildcats fans are while I was surrounded by Big Blue Nation for four years.

Hell, I was a part of it.

So, after seeing it during my college days, it's no surprise to read that the Ford dealership in Lexington is running a contest for one lucky fan's customized car to be selected by Coach John Calipari himself as the design on a Mustang.

Who knows how this will actually turn out. But you can bet that it will be creative with as much as Cats fans know about their team.

7. Baltimore Ravens Bus

I don't really know much about this Baltimore Ravens bus, but I can say that, by just looking at it, it's pretty darn impressive.

A giant purple mobile that is both intimidating and welcoming—well, to fellow Ravens fans—I can imagine the owners of this bus stir up a crazy course of tailgate favorites and some of Baltimore's more famed dishes like crab cakes and Polish sausages.

6. Minnesota Vikings Bus

What's crazy to me is that the owner of this Minnesota Vikings bus admits that he bought it just as it is, meaning that someone else actually passed this down onto another Vikes fan.

I guess, in a way, that's pretty cool, seeing how it's one radical ride that honors the tradition of the organization, complete with player signatures on the interior's roof.

With it being used in a Minnesota Lottery commercial with a cameo by former Vikes star John Randle, driving this around is surely a rowdy time.

5. Texas A&M Aggies' Bus 12

While Texas A&M Aggies head football coach Kevin Sumlin wins over prized recruits thanks to the help of his customized Swagcopter, fans of the team have this incredible Bus to marvel at.

Aptly named Bus 12—a shout-out to the team's 12th Man—the bus is a tailgate masterpiece, equipped with a deck on top, patio and flat-screen TV's to feel as if you're on the field yourself.

Another thing that sets it apart? The custom interior includes bleacher seating and field turf that matches the field the Aggies play on.

4. Cleveland Browns' Dumb Dog Bus

With the nickname Dumb Dog, this Cleveland Browns bus is one of the most interesting vehicles a fan could think up.

Not only is it an old-school bus, but it has a giant replica of a Browns helmet that sits nicely above the windshield so everyone can see this thing bulling down the highway.

A party on wheels—it's a fully stocked bar when parked—the Dumb Dog is the biggest hit anytime the Browns are playing.

The only question left to ask is if the owner will replace the helmet with the new team colors?

3. Alabama Crimson Tide Volkswagen Beetle

Some may not think of a Volkswagen Beetle as the most intimidating car on the road, but that didn't stop one Alabama Crimson Tide fan from decking theirs out in full crimson colors and, get this, an elephant on the top of it.

While this might seem impractical—is the elephant really that necessary considering low-hanging underpasses?—when you're a fan of something, you don't think like the rest of people do.

The only thing that would have been creepier would have been if the elephant had been replaced with a giant Nick Saban head, so that's working for this Bama fan.

2. Green Bay Packers-Inspired Car

There's nothing like turning an old police car into a Green Bay Packers tribute—as this fan did with his car.

Although subtle in the designs and decals on the side, the giant cheesehead-like hood and other customized paintings make this pretty amazing.

Green Bay is known as Titletown, and this guy might just be the biggest fan in Titletown thanks to the ghost of Lombardi riding shotgun with him in this ride.

1. Seattle Seahawks' Custom Cars

Most of us probably heard about the Seattle Seahawks fan who slapped the team's colors and logo all over their $240,000 Ferrari 458 Italia.

But, what you might not know, is that that same fan is believed to have a full fleet of rides that don his love for the Hawks, with other cars in his collection including a Hummer H2 and a Ford pickup.

With the Seahawks making two straight Super Bowls, winning one, and bringing back a team next season that could be just as solid, why not spend some extra cash to show you're more than just a bandwagon fan?

I'd say getting work done on a Ferrari is a good way of doing that.
