Dolph Ziggler is currently holding the only active Money in the Bank briefcase, which may be hard to remember (except for the constant reminders from Vickie) if you've been watching his matches recently.
Dolph has been losing big matches left or right since he "ended" Y2J's career. He lost to Orton at Night of Champions and had an actual match with Santino...yes...Santino. It seems like Night of Champions would have been a great time for Ziggler to cash-in and win, not only to propel himself forward (which he deserves, in my opinion) but also to end the Alberto Del Rio-Sheamus feud that fans are growing weary of.
He continues, however, to be chosen as "that guy who can take awesome bumps," which leads to a lot of losses. This isn't the first time, either. We've seen a few other times in Ziggler's career where he's had opportunities to get wins and get various straps, but right when he gets hot, he's cooled off shortly after.
While Dolph may not look like the most dangerous man in wrestling right now, we must remember, he does have the Money in the Bank briefcase. He's potentially one of the most dangerous Superstars in the WWE, and he has the potential for starting a huge storyline at a moment's notice, all locked up in a fancy blue briefcase.
So why did the Show Off even win the briefcase if he's going to lose week in and week out? Because he's exactly what he says: "THAT DANG GOOD" (maybe not exactly what he says). He's even thought of by some as one of the best in the WWE right now.
Ziggler is one of the brightest Superstars in the WWE and all of professional wrestling today. He's an athletic, charismatic heel who can perform any move, sell any move and use the mic with ease, all things that led to him snagging that briefcase in July.
Ziggler has held WWE gold before and will hold a lot more before his time in a WWE ring is done—just as soon as he can get in a consistent program and start reeling in some of those big wins.
