“Daesh has laid an oil pipe that flows into the Tigris near the Qayyarah refinery, south of Mosul, in an attempt to pump oil into the river to burn the floating bridge constructed by the Iraqi army in mid-July,” said the statement using an Arabic acronym for IS.

The FBI wanted the Justice Department to investigate the Clinton Foundation – but the DOJ declined
The FBI approached the Department of Justice earlier this year and asked the public integrity unit to open an investigation of the Clinton Foundation.
But the DOJ declined, according to CNN.
The reasoning, the report said, was that the Justice Department had looked into Hillary Clinton’s family foundation a year before and didn’t find enough evidence to do so.

Eight Palestinian operatives injured in Gaza tunnel collapse
Eight Palestinian tunnel operatives were wounded in a tunnel collapse early Wednesday morning in the northern Gaza border town of Shuja’yya, according to Ma’an News Agency.
All of the wounded tunnel operatives were transported to the Shifa hospital in Gaza City.
After the IDF uncovered a tunnel extending into Israeli territory in April, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that Israel has developed a cutting-edge tunnel technology to locate tunnels.

Khan, who was at the mosque at the time of the assault, described what he alleges had taken place. According to a news report, Khan claimed that he had brought the victim to a friend’s house to retrieve a wire hanger, so that they could attempt to open the car door. According to another report, Khan and the victim “stood nearly side by side,” when the man in the truck “got out and approached them from behind.”
Khan claimed that the attacker stated during the attack, “You Muslims need to go back to where you came from.” Khan said of the attacker, “He was cursing, saying ‘Muslim this and Muslim that.’” And “He had been drinking. He was smelling bad. It was a vicious attack. He just started throwing punches.”
There are a number of problems with Khan’s story, however. According to the victim, Khan offered to stay and help open the car, but the man “told Khan to go inside because he had already took up too much of his time.” It was only after Khan went inside that the truck pulled up. Video provided by the mosque supports this scenario, as Khan is not present in the video during the attack.

Panama agrees to help migrants head on for US
President Juan Carlos Varela on Tuesday said Panama would make an exception to its immigration restrictions for migrants who have recently crossed into Panama’s Darien jungle.
“The border will remain closed to irregular migrants, but those that are using these points to cross and have already reached our territory will be given humanitarian assistance so they can continue on their way,” he said.
“Panama will not allow anyone who has crossed into our country to die on our territory,” he added, in a public speech.

Baltimore police officers fired as scathing federal report alleges excessive force
The Justice Department and Baltimore police agreed to negotiate court-enforceable reforms after a scathing federal report released Wednesday criticized officers for using excessive force and routinely discriminating against blacks.
The report, the culmination of a yearlong investigation into one of the country’s largest police forces, found that officers make a large number of stops — mostly in poor, black neighborhoods — with dubious justification and unlawfully arrest citizens when officers “did not like what those individuals said.”
“These violations have deeply eroded the relationship between the police and community it serves,” Vanita Gupta, the head of the Justice Department’s civil rights division, said during a news conference alongside the city’s mayor and police commissioner.
