The Bladen County Board of Commissioners meet in regular session
Monday, at 6:30 p.m. in their meeting room in the courthouse.
Their Consent Agenda includes advertising a timber bid proposal
package regarding the Detention Center track and scheduling a Public
Hearing related to the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 proposed budget.
The board is expected to make a Presentation of Emergency Medical
Service Week Proclamation.
The Animal Control Advisory Board is slated to address the Board.
A Public Hearing is scheduled related to a Bladen-Columbus Regional
Hazard Mitigation Plan and following the Public Hearing the board is
expected to consider adoption of the plan.
Sharon Penny, Bladen County Schools Finance Officer, is slated to meet
and address commissioners on a couple of matters, one related to
approving a Public School Building Capital Fund Application regarding
replacement of a roof at Plain View Primary School and a second
request relates to moving capital outlay fund balance to current
operating expense.
Lisa Coleman, Bladen County Finance Officer will update the board on
the financial condition of the county, request approval of an audit
contract and seek approval of an Engagement Letter with Thompson,
Price, Scott, Adams & Company, PA.
Amy Pharr, Human Resources Director, is expected to ask for approval
of an amended Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
Chris Harrelson, Health and Human Service Director, has several
agreements for the board to consider.
Commissioners are expected to consider scheduling a Special Meeting to
work on the FY 2015-2016 Proposed Budget.
And, a closed session is expected to be held related to Personnel.
The regular meeting is open to the public.
