Hello BHW,

I have been on this site for a while now, lurking and reading. When I joined a few years ago I was into internet marketing as a way to make extra funds, had a few micro Niche sites earning about $100 a month that were ebay targeted, dabbled in other types of sites such as the million pixel web page (*great concept), Dating web pages like POF, some adult sites, then got a 9-5 and got caught up in other projects and my growing empire crumbled... I kept coming back to BHW on occasion to keep up on trends and missed the challenge and fun of this line of work. When the 9-5 stop happening and my side work hitting a slow time, I turned to what I enjoyed and know I could make some funds with - Affiliate sites and BHW.

I started to read this post by (arganrecords) - my-journey-discussions/759612-amazon-authority-website-journey-1000-day-100-outsourced (sorry not allowed to post links :/)

and was inspired. Read it from first post to page 11 and said, "YES.. I need to do this as well". Very great read, insightful.

This Journey will document my development of Amazon Niche sites relying on outsourcing. I am no Grue or SEO wizard, I just read a lot.

If you see ways I can improve this adventure, please let me know. :)

Below you will find my logic in this process, please let me know your thoughts, if you think its good or is a flop.

-------------
The Vision:

Acquire 2 Amazon Niche sites with EDM keywords that a 2nd party makes.

After the sites are delivered, push the SEO with a goal of both sites making at least $600 a month in 2-4 months (*I would love to do better but a goal of an extra $1200 a month would make living a lot more easier).

Majority of the work *outsourced (*most by BHW services) - a study on expense vs return?.

Document the process and learn additional ways to stream line and increase profitability.

In 6 months repeat using the funds from the first 2 sites to power the development of the next 2 with increased profitability.

------------
Initial costs associated with outsourcing start up:

Web Hosting for 1 year (3 free Domain names)

$95.40

2 Amazon Niche sites with EDM and 2000+ monthly searches

Estimated: $200 ($100 each)

SEO boost to make sites more of an authority site.

$170 total ($85 each)

Total initial outlay cost: $465.40

------------
Costs associated with on going content, SEO and growth:

Goal to release 3 articles a week on each site based around the Niche (6 total a week that are review based articles or supporting authority content articles)

500 - 700 words in each article - about $5 per article = 6 articles // $30 a week | 24 articles // $120 a month | 288 articles a year // $1,440 a year for content.

* All figures are estimated.

------------

Grand total expenses estimated for the year to attain the above all just by outsourcing: $1,905.40

Work would be imputing articles, SEO site lay out, content research, and managing the writing team (4 hrs a week).

------------
Potential profits and Time lines:

Month 1

Get Hosting

Get services for the Niche sites.

Launch sites

Small SEO push 1 week after launch

Work on indexing sites in Google

I don't except to see any profits in the first 30 days.

Month 2

SEO Push for domain Authority.

Give the BIG G time to find and index the site, then push for #1 or #2 listing.

Goal of 25$ a week in sales ($100 per site per month $200 total income)

Month 3

I will enter the manual link building phase

Contact domains and see about guest blog posts, link swaps.

Should have secured #1 or #2 spot in the ranking for my keywords.

Goal of $100 a week in sales ($400 per site $800 total)

Month 4

If all goes well, I should have a good selection of articles in place (36 articles per site by the start of month 4 and 48 by the end)

Goal of $150 a week in sales, ($600 per site $1200 total *about a total average of $40 in sales per day total threw Amazon)

------------
Pitfalls and dangers:

If the EDM Niche sites are not visited - a dead or dark Niche.

SEO push fails to push site up in SERP's

Protection - 2 sites, increase the chance of one of them hitting.

Funding runs out before sites have the chance to be realizes 100%

No fall back on this one - I hope the incoming profits can offset the content writing by the second month and by month 4 have covered the initial outlay and future content.

Pull out - If the initial investment is covered but generating less them 10$ a month, hold on to them for a year then flip them. If the profits are higher then the operating costs ($120 for the year), keep them.

Well, that's about it for the start. I am waiting to hear back from a few service providers on final costs, then its off to the races with this project. I hope to have this all in motion by the end of the week.

In future updates (*prehaps once a week) I will let you know how the sites are performing, the profits if any, the hurdles that were meet, and what web pages I am using to generate content and such.

Any insights or thoughts are welcome.

Thank you!
