Alright so I've been researching into the whole using ImageTwist with a NSFW Tumblr blog to slowly make a little extra cash but now I've got a few other questions that I'm hoping you guys can answer. Before I start, I wanted to provide the links to the other posts about the whole nsfw tumblr and imagetwist technique in case you guys don't know what I'm talking about but the site said my account is too new to post links in the forum so just pm me if you want them.
1. So not only am I extra noob to this technique but I'm extra noob to tumblr also. I've already done a bunch of research on how it works, techniques, tips, etc, etc.... Anyway, so I'm starting my NSFW pic blog (4 of them actually) and while I've been preparing and gathering photos I've come to realize that the majority of any adult pics worth looking at are already on other tumblr blogs. This isn't a huge surprise to me considering this is the internet, but now I'm wondering if its better to just dedicate more time to reblogging pics from other blogs. My original plan was to post about 10 pics per day and reblog another 10-15. Now I'm wondering if I should switch up to posting 5 per day and reblogging another 15-20. (And yes I know that if im going to concentrate more energy on reblogging, then I should check blogs that i follow frequent enough to be one of the earlier ppl to reblog pics that i like so i have a better chance at getting my own blog noticed). I've noticed that a lot of the well known blogs in my niche seem to mostly just reblog pics from one another, but I mean.... those pics have to originate from somewhere. So basically my question is.... What's a good ratio for how many pics I should actually post vs. how many I reblog to start gaining a good number of followers? OR should I not even bother posting pics at all and just be really selective in which pics I reblog so that my own blog builds its own identity? If someone can give me a good, reputable response to this I'll be eternally grateful b/c this will help determine how I'm going to run my blogs A LOT!
2. How many total posts (posts from me and reblogs) should I be aiming for per day so that I can create heavy interest in my blog without annoying my followers? (I haven't really been able to find a good answer for this one anywhere.) I mean, I'm assuming anyone using a tumblr account to only follow nsfw blogs is on it specifically to see porn so is there even a such thing as too many posts? (I mean when's the last time you went to a site to look at porn pics and said, "well there are too many options and it's annoying me")
3. In the forum posts that I left the links to above, it was explained that when you post a pic on ur nsfw blog, you have to make sure to change the click-through link to your corresponding ImageTwist link (that's how you make the money). My question is.... Can you do the same thing with pics that you reblog? As in, could you change the click-through link for pics that you reblog and is this the same as changing the source link? I know that changing the source link is a big no-no b/c it's basically the same as stealing other peoples pics and not giving them credit for it, but idk if it's the same for the click-through link. From what I've seen, a lot of the pics don't even have a click-through link. (Obviously you'd have to reblog a pic soon enough after it was posted [not to mention upload it to imagetwist and get the corresponding link to put in place of the click-through link before you actually reblog it] so that enough people would see it afterwards that you'd actually make some money, which sounds tedious but I'm fine with)
4. If anyone has any tips or pointers on how to really start gaining followers, that'd also be greatly appreciated.
***Finally, while I do appreciate any and all feedback, please only respond to this post if you're actually going to provide an answer to any of the questions above. I'm going to attempt this technique one way or another to see how it works out for me, so I don't want to hear other people whine about their failed attempts at doing the same. Also, this is my first post on here, (like i said I'm a noob) so if i broke any rules (unwritten or otherwise) about how to post, I'm sorry and please just respectfully let me know, I don't want to get banned or anything.
