Here is a recent email exchange between me and Brian Kleiner of AfternicDLS -representing Gregg Ostrick who is the registered owner of the domain- who tried to broker me a parked domain at $44,500, .
Him:

"The right domain name is the difference between success and failure. On the Internet your domain name is your 'real estate'. Get it right the first time..."
Me:
$44,500? I hope they make cyber squatting illegal. Please note that the private seller and you -and godaddy- will be reading a wonderful review mentioning both his price estimate and the cons of what you and him are doing.
Him (He has a cheek to try sell me another domain):
Hi Barry
I am sorry the domain is listed outside of your budget for this project.
Domains start at $250 and go up into the millions depending on the marketability of the domain.
I would be happy to help you find a more affordable domain. Please keep in mind the average domain will sell in the
$3000 to $5000 range.
Pricing for domains can come as a shock , however it is truly a supply and demand business. On an average week

Me:
Supply and demand business? You are preventing legitimate businesses from launching and there is no way VendorPages.com is worth 44k. At max its worth $500 as there arn't any other legit businesses who wish to purchase it... Stop trying to sell me domains, I won't but into schemes or support unethical business practices.
I assume the the owner of the site is: Gregg Ostrick?
Him:
Hi Barry
That is the owner. Domains are like real estate. You wouldn’t argue that someone should sell a house for less than market value because it was originally bought cheap.
Me:
Correct, I would not argue with someone who tried to sell me a house at market value, I would however call a person a fraudster if he tried to sell me a virtual entity -that makes little to no profit- at the same price as a house. Excuse me, but I still have my integrity, so I would rather not banter with you.
Really? You got to be kidding me right?:eek2:
