While the Langham Place Fifth Avenue oozes modern NYC style, the mothership Langham London is nothing if not a resplendent bastion of white-glove, classical constancy (with, mind you, a very fabulous bar, the Artesian). An insider even remarked to BlackBook that the latter sort of plays Sean Connery to the former’s Daniel Craig.

And now New York gents can be as natty as either 007, as the Langham Place will be bringing Savile Row to Midtown for a one week run. Richard James is something of the young turk of bespoke tailoring, scoring a British Fashion Council Award for his work, collaborating with Swarovski and Elton John, and dressing a who’s who of well-turned-out celebs, including Mark Ronson, Jude Law, Mick Jagger and Benicio del Toro. And from today, May 12th, through the 16th, he will be in residency at the hotel.

Anyone with a penchant for great style can simply book an appointment at the hotel to be fitted by the venerable London house—though actual Langham Place guests can book the special Savile Row package to jump ahead in the line. For those who find the May dates less than opportune the event will be repeated October 10-16.
