A dean from the University of California, Los Angeles has been named the next chancellor for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Franklin D. Gilliam Jr., who is dean of UCLA's Luskin School of Public Affairs, will join UNCG on Sept. 8. He follows Linda Brady, who served as UNCG chancellor for seven years.
