A site in Texas is among six in the country that will be used to test drones and perform research on how the unmanned aircraft can be safely integrated into the nation's airspace.

Texas A&M University Corpus Christi joins the University of Alaska, the State of Nevada, Griffiss International Airport in New York, the North Dakota Department of Commerce and Virginia Tech as sites for the testing, the Federal Aviation Administration announced Monday.
