BeautyFix used to be Blush Mystery Box which used to be BeautyFix. It's all come around! The June 2015 BeautyFix box is everything I want a beauty subscription to be. Fantastic skincare, great brands and ridiculous value. I had unsubscribed from the Blush Mystery Box because there was too much haircare one month. Then I didn't resub because there were too many repeats.

Now that Dermstore has taken over for Blush.com, we are getting improved boxes. I'm a sucker for good skincare. Not so much makeup or hair but oooooh, give me all the skincare. This box makes me happy.

The Cost: $24.95/month or $34.95 one time charge.

What You Get: Each month, we'll be offering a different BeautyFIX box, featuring full- and travel-size of the latest and greatest products in skin care, hair care and makeup, worth at least $100.

Cargo Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Nude-1.7oz- I like tinted moisturizers because they give my skin a little color but avoids the caked on makeup look. I have been using Bobbi Brown Tint Balm in Alabaster (I'm seriously pale) but with a color called Nude, it should work, right? I'm still reluctant to open it because I have got to stop having ten kinds of things open at the same time. It makes it so nothing ever gets completely used up before it expires.
This is labeled as having a "dewy" finish, too, which I don't really like. "Light diffusing pigments help camouflage imperfections and even skin tone without heavy coverage." Luminous skin is for young ladies, not oldie but goodies like me. Or at least I feel that way about my skin.
Although, I'm basing most of that opinion on the skin of one of my relatives. She uses luminizing foundation and she's had a face lift and it just doesn't look right. It looks too shiny. I can't tell if that's the face lift or the foundation that causes that strange shininess. That's what I want to avoid.
Value: $34

Oscar Blandi Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo-full size- Okay, so I hate this stuff. I'm biased because I don't like getting hair stuff plus the fact that dry shampoo and I have a volatile relationship. I know that I will get hair stuff and I do not count that against the box, it's just my personal idiosyncracies. :D This is a full size can of oil-absorbing dry shampoo.
Value: $25

Is Clinical Cleansing Complex-2oz- This is rated 4 stars out of 4 by Paula's Choice Beautypedia! Now that is impressive. It has a perfect pH of 5 which is what you want in a cleanser. This has a gel consistency and contains some antioxidants in the form of flower extracts, vitamin E and teensy bit of retinyl palmitate (vitamin A).
I'm definitely keeping this and going to use it as soon as I finish my Manuka honey cleanser I'm currently using.
Ingredients: Water, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-30 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Carboxymethylcellulose, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Asiaticoside Madecassic Acid (Centella Asiatica), Ascorbyl Palmitate, Phospholipids, Tocopherol Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate
Value: $16

Ashford & Co. Shave Cream-  Well, I hope you have a man in your life. Or that you like cedarwood and amber. Too manly for me so DH gets this. This is for beards.  I'm not sure what possessed someone to put this in a BeautyFix box but it works since I'm married. Still. Weird.
Value: $25

La-Roche Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid- I actually won a huge bottle of this stuff in an Allure giveaway. You know the freebies they do? I entered and then this appeared like three months later on my doorstep. However, this uses avobenzone and oxybenzone instead of titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide so I won't really use it. Not that avobenzone, etc is bad or less effective, it's just that titanium dioxide and zinc are better for people with sensitive skin. You're more likely to react to avobenzone than the others so if you are having an issue with sunscreen, check your bottle and see what it's using as an SPF. It also has alcohol in it.
Value: Sample Size

Skinceuticals Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50- I really like the Skinceuticals brand. They're expensive so I don't purchase anything myself but when I see it in a subscription box, I'm always thrilled. Remember how I said I got a free La Roche Posay sunscreen from Allure? Well, I also managed to snag a $50 gift card for an online shop that sells Skinceuticals. I can't remember the name of it but I used my card to get a .25% retinol moisturizer and I am loving it.
This is a mattifying sunscreen and I'm sure I'll use it because it has titanium dioxide and zinc oxide in it. This is the sort of thing I will stick in my purse for the times when I find myself outside without freshly applied sunscreen. I always wonder how long SPF in my foundation is good for.
Value: Sample Size

Hydropeptide Solar Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 30-sample- A color adjusting, tinted sunscreen. I'm definitely going to use this. Probably tomorrow before I head outside to garden. This uses titanium dioxide and zinc oxide for SPF. My favorites. It also has a moisturizing component, antioxidants and Aloe. It's basically all my favorite things in one. And it gets pretty good review on Amazon, too.
Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide 2.5%, Zinc Oxide 6%., Water, Ethylhexy Palmitate, Butylene Glycol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cyclomethicone, Polysorbate 60, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Sodium PCA, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract (Acai Berry), Camellia Oleifera (Japanese Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Calendula Officinalis (Marigold) Extract, Kaempferia Galanga Root Extract (Galanga), Cucumber Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Chamo
Value: Deluxe Sample

Wei Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask- This is a single use sample pot and I can't help thinking it's adorable. When I looked it up on Birchbox, this is how they come! The box is made of single pot servings. This is actually a great way to do it because it prevents the ingredients from being exposed to air and light which can degrade ingredient effectiveness.
This detoxifying mud mask is made with a base of soft China clay, which removes dead cells and dirt without leaving skin feeling taut and dry
Ingredients: Aqua \ Water, Kaolin, Butylene Glycol, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Propylene Glycol Stearate, Stearic Acid, Tromethamine, PEG-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ganoderma Lucidum Extract, Angelica Acutiloba Root Extract, Zizyphus Jujuba Fruit Extract, Chrysanthemum Sinense Flower Extract, Lilium Longiflorum Bulb Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Polysorbate 60, Parfum \ Fragrance, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Benzoic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Iron Oxides
Value: $4

Roloxin Lift Revitalizing Facial Treatment- 2 treatments-Wow. These are EXPENSIVE! The cheapest is $110 for 10 treatments. So this little sample is worth $20. I don't even get it. So you smear the treatment on your dry clean face, wait 10 minutes til it turns into a white powder, then rinse it off. This will give you smoother skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines, pores, wrinkles, crows feet, laughlines and also will restore luminosity and enhance makeup application.
Basically it's a miracle product and I'm SO trying it! Wouldn't you? I mean, I don't know if I believe half the things it says but I'm willing to see how it works. At least I see some ingredients I like. I don't know how it works... must be the silica?
Ingredients: Water, Silica, Propylene Glycol, Silica Silylate, Sodium Hya, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Powder, Glycosaminoglycans, Chitosan Glycolate, Sclerotium Gum, Sorbic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate
Value: $20

Paula's Choice Sun 365 Self-Tanning Concentrate-.5oz- I am *really* excited about this! So many times, you find a sunless tanner and the non-tanning ingredients are basically worthless. With this, I can put a pump or two into my regular moisturizer and get a tan! I'm going to start tonight, I'll let you know how it goes. From reviews it seems that it's pretty subtle. Maybe too subtle for some but with my pale skin that's just what I need.
Value: $12.50

Arcona Cranberry Toner- This had a slight leakage issue so it's not all the way full. It's a cleanser/toner duo complete with antioxidants. This uses witch hazel extract which is made using alcohol so I'll probably avoid this for a bit. The other ingredients are so nice, though, that I think I'm going to break my alcohol ban for this. :D
Ingredients: Distilled Water, Hamamelis Virginiana Extract (Witch Hazel), Rice Milk, Sodium Lactate, Vaccinium Macrocarpon Fruit Extract (Cranberry), Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Extract (White Tea), Vitis Vinifera Seed Extract (Grape), D Alpha Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Citric Acid, Essential Oils
Value: $8

VERDICT: I am so in love with this box. I love it all except that dry shampoo and the beard shaving cream... which is still weird to me. This box has a value of over $150 which is pretty amazing considering it's only $27 (including tax). I cannot wait to dig in to all my goodies, arrange them on my counter and then start using them even though I have a million other things I should use first. :D The first thing is going to be the Sunless Tanner Concentrate. Right into my nightly Skinceuticals Retinol cream. Hopefully nothing cancels eachother out. Can that happen?
The next box better not have a men's product in it...

If you'd like to sign up for Beautyfix, you can do that right here. The June box is sold out (I'm not surprised) but you can get in for the July one. Click the "I want this" button and they'll send you an email when July goes on sale.
