Today I want to share with you a page I made in one of my Gelli Printed Art Journals.
It started out with a gelli printed background and some black painted scallops. The blue stenciled stars at the top were already in the gelli print.
I stamped the houses (love this stamp by Zorrotte for Carabelle Studio!) on book paper and cut them out, then glued them on the background. Then I added the moon. Below you will find step pictures on how I used my mini round gelli plate from Gelli Arts to create it.
First cover the gelli plate with distress ink and stamp it on thin white paper.
Then cut out the part you DON'T want to print. This will be your mask.
Cover the gelli plate with white paint. This is to cover up the background, if you want the background shine through you can use yellow right away. Place the mask on the gelli plate.
Mask the houses and stamp the white moon on the background.
Clean the gelli plate, cover it with yellow paint and put the mask back on.
Place the gelli plate on the white moon. You will be able to see the mask through the paint, so you can line it up.
Clean the gelli plate. Take the desired stamp (like this lovely stamp by Azoline for Carabelle Studio) and add white paint to it with a brayer to get a nice even layer.
Place the gelli plate on top of the stamp to lift of the paint.
Place the mask on the gelli plate.
Line it up again with the moon and stamp on top.
Remove the houses mask and you're done.
I finished my page with stamping, coloring, doodling and writing.
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and thank you for stopping by!
Love,
