Job Description:
Provide a full spectrum of intellectual property services including patent protection, surveillance, enforcement, analysis, licensing, transactional and R&D contracts.
Conduct patent novelty, validity and right to market patent and information searches using internal and external resources and vendors, analyzing and summarizing search results and cataloging and maintaining results in an organized and accessible fashion for the IP team.
Draft patent applications and liaison with inventors and other internal IP lawyers for the information needed to prepare patent applications; conduct such drafting and liaison activities.
Attend to ongoing patent prosecution, including preparing responses to Office Actions received from patent office.
Assist local Research and Development teams and business units with guidance related to intellectual property.
Assist in the preparation of patent review meetings and respond to inquiries from the client base.
Qualification: M.Sc. Biochemistry
Experience: 3 years
Location: Pune
Desired Skills:
Must possess a technical degree, preferably in chemical engineering, chemistry, Biochemistry, materials science, or a related field.
Must possess at least 3 years experience in intellectual property, including searching and prosecuting.
Must be registered with the Indian Patent Office.
Familiarity with technologies relating to the clients' products and business strategies is a plus.
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment, including regular and ongoing interactions on both a global and local basis.
Must demonstrate a high degree of ethics and values in line with Avery Dennison's Code of Conduct.
A working knowledge of PCT, US, and European patent practice is desirable.
Must have strong persuasive writing skills.
