National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as 'Malaria Research Centre', which was renamed as 'National Institute of Malaria Research' in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research.
One post of Scientist ‘B’ is to be filled up on purely temporary and contractual basis on a consolidated salary of Rs.44,100/- P.M. in NIH funded project “Centre for the Study of Complex Malaria in India”.

Desired Profile : First Class MSC in Life/Biological sciences or relevant biological subjects or Statistics from a recognized University or equivalent OR Second class Master’s Degree in Life/Biological sciences or relevant biological discipline
subjects or Statistics with PhD degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
Preferred : Three years of post-doctoral research experience in molecular biology/Genetics. Candidates with high quality research publications in molecular biology in high-impact peer reviewed journals preferably on malaria parasites and knowledge of next-generation sequencing technologies.
Age : Up to 35 years
Age limit : Age relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Central Govt. Rules/Orders for possessing experience in Govt./Autonomous Bodies. Candidates working in long term projects in ICMR and its Institutes/Centres shall be given one time age relaxation up to five years for the post advertised.
Place of Duty : The contractual staff will be posted at the project site at the above mentioned address.
