Job Title: Senior Research Associate
Job Description:
Support in developing exploratory development proposals for new innovation products in powder format
Support in Generating and sourcing concept samples of interesting NPD areas in HFD’s/other formats and share with Marketing / business colleagues towards assessment of interest for inclusion in the GSK NPD programme.
Support in carrying out technical feasibility analysis on the NPD ideas by analyzing current development plans, new scientific developments and competitive activities.
Supporting in execution of product (innovation) development related activities on assigned NPD projects
Support on execution of allocated product development responsibilities across the various NPD Innovation projects while working in a matrix organization structure
Work on variety of Innovation projects while appropriately prioritising various assigned developments tasks under the guidance of the team leaders
Execution of allocated product development related activities (Formulation & process development, stability testing, Product consumer research clearance etc.) on identified NPD projects
Identify suitable raw material vendors & leverage their potential to develop the required raw material for the new NPD powder projects
Liase with various functions within R&D like Analytical, Regulatory, Nutrition & Packaging to enable the progress on the innovation projects to deliver agreed project milestones
Identify issues on projects. Provide recommendations for resolution of issues supported by good data analysis and their interpretation.
Provide support in generating documentation for tech transfer in time for smooth commercial manufacturing of the new product at the manufacturing site(GSK sites/3rd party sites)
Support development and implementation of various NPD projects for Horlicks Lead Market, delivering differentiation, cost target and effective manufacturing plan while working with regional marketing team and pilot plant.
Conduct stability studies, generate stability data & prepare stability reports for innovation projects.
Eligibility: B.Sc/ M.Sc / B.Tech/ M.Tech Food tech/ Life Science
Experience: 3- 4 years
Desired Skills:
Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience in R&D/ Quality functions from reputed organization with an ability to work pro-actively with Commercial and GMS / manufacturing functions.
Should have excellent people management and interpersonal skills. Believes in teamwork and empowerment.
Sound knowledge of food technology and its practical application in the food industry for product development.
Sound knowledge of food chemistry and their application in sensory science.
Sound knowledge of project Management and experience of cross functional teams will be add on & is not must for scouting.
