The AIS - Australia’s high performance sport agency - delivers Australia’s international sporting success through partnerships with National Sporting Organisations (NSO), State Institute and Academies of Sport and other partners. The AIS provides expertise in athlete preparation, with a clear agenda for achieving success through the Australia’s Winning Edge performance strategy.
The AIS is currently seeking expressions of interest from talented and highly driven individuals to fill potential future vacancies in the following areas:
* Athletes, Coaching & Leadership
Personal Excellence - AIS Residence
Provides holistic and well-being support to high performance athletes living away from home. Relationship skills are essential with demonstrated success and experience in the delivery of educational programs, career development, educational guidance and pastoral care of adolescents and young adults.
Personal Excellence -e-community & adaptive learning
Provides online contemporary and motivational learning experiences and engagement for high performance athletes. Passion and expertise for social media and adaptive e-learning, experience in developing and administering educational content for an interactive online community are required in this area.
Athlete Pathways & Development
Works together with NSO and key partner agencies to provide strategic support and guidance, evidenced based and contemporary approaches to develop athlete high performance pathways and optimise sports talent pipeline. Qualifications and expertise in the science of athlete development, talent identification and athlete pathways are required in this area.
* Performance Science & Innovation
Ensure Australia’s best athletes get the right support. Provide coordination and planning of Sport Science services and find innovative solutions for high priority sports. Lead evidence-based practice, excellence in sport science, continual growth and improvement. Expressions of interest sort in Biomechanics, Skill Acquisition, Data Analytics or Performance Engineering.
Skill Acquisition
Provides advice, training and support in the use of world leading Skill Acquisition testing and practice applications.
Biomechanics
Incorporates techniques and applications from physics, human anatomy, mathematics, computing and engineering to analyse technique, prevent injury and to improve overall athlete performance.
* Performance Investment
Provides recommendations for high performance investment, supported by high quality investment analysis, data analytics and evidence to the ASC Board. Opportunity to use analytical, financial and strategic skills in an elite sporting environment whilst working alongside world leading sports practitioners.
For Investment Analysis, backgrounds in investment banking, management consulting or similar are sought. For Data Analytics, backgrounds in statistics, predictive modelling or similar are sought.
**Potential vacancies in this area may attract a higher salary ($100,450 - $146,173 per annum).
Salaries range from $68,864 - $108,650 per annum. Higher level positions requiring managerial and technical expertise attract higher salaries.
