From the Press Release
Insomniac Games, creators of the game franchises such as “Ratchet & Clank,” “Outernauts” and “Spyro the Dragon," is partnering with Starlight Children’s Foundation® to support hospitalized kids this holiday season. Insomniac employees are invited to select and donate items from the Starlight Wish Lists of Miller Children's Hospital in California and Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center in North Carolina, where the company has offices. Insomniac will match all donations dollar-for-dollar.

Starlight Wish Lists are the newest innovation in service of Starlight’s mission. The program transforms the way individuals and organizations improve the hospital experience for pediatric patients. For the first time, hospitals can publish their Wish Lists on Starlight.org requesting items that transform the hospital experience for children. Donors can then point, click and ship those items directly to their facility of choice, leveraging the power of Amazon’s fulfillment network.

“The Starlight Wish List program is a wonderful opportunity for Insomniac Games and our employees to help not just one family, but two hospitals filled with many families,” said Ted Price, CEO of Insomniac Games. “We love knowing we can help people in the communities where we live and work to offer families in need a brighter holiday season.”

Insomniac has supported Starlight over the years though other signature programs, such as the Starlight Fun Center® mobile entertainment units. Employees also saw first-hand the benefit of Starlight’s programs when their own Craig Goodman leaned on Starlight to help his family through their medical journey.

“Insomniac Games has been a tremendous supporter of Starlight over the years and truly understands the benefit of our distractive entertainment programs,” said Jacqueline Hart-Ibrahim, Starlight Global CEO. “As an early supporter of the Starlight Wish List program, we are delighted that Insomniac is strengthening its support of hospitalized kids.”

Employees are asked to purchase items that include movies, games and art supplies, directly from the Starlight Wish Lists for Miller Children’s Hospital and Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center.

Millers Children’s Hospital is also the first of 12 hospitals that will be featured in Starlight’s “12 Days of Giving” social media campaign that runs from Nov. 22 through #GivingTuesday, Dec. 3. The goal of the campaign is to inspire everyday philanthropists and generous donors to grant hospital wishes this holiday season.

To help make the hospital experience a little easier this holiday season for young patients, visit Starlight.org today and fulfill an item from your favorite hospital, clinic or health care facility’s Starlight Wish List.
