Chicken Cyclekit is now distributing FastRider luggage in the UK. Established in 1966 by Hesling Products, the FastRider luggage range is well suited to the wet UK market, with models ranging from the fully waterproof Aquadus bags to more conventionally styled Canvas bag ranges. The Italian-made Brooks Pickwick Pack is a versatile canvas roll-top backpack. Made from water-resistant cotton and genuine Brooks leather trim, the Pickwick has been designed by André Klauser in London and is manufactured in the hills of Tuscany. Six year old brand T-One has been busy winning internationally recognised awards including Innobike and the iF product design award. New to the UK market in 2013 via Greyville, the brand takes environmental responsibility seriously – all T-One products comply with REACH and packaging is made from recycled card.

The new Thule EnRoute Daypack range was recently shown off at Madison’s iceBike* trade show. This outdoor inspired laptop daypack range is pitched at outdoor enthusiasts, students and the urban commuter, with overflowing amounts of pockets and compartments to store and protect daily gear, including laptops and tablets. Axiom’s flagship series, Modular GrandTour panniers, are designed for serious bicycle touring. Polaris
When it comes to luggage Polaris says it has something for everyone. The brands tells BikeBiz there are some luggage-style developments due to land this year, but in the meantime there is a padded cargo bag made from a really tough high quality nylon. Each bag comes with its own tool wrap and removable wheel bags. This is Polaris’ cheapest option and ideal for those going to the Alps with a heavier bike but needing added protection with minimal weight gain.

Roofbox
German brand B&W’s Bike Case is the latest generation ‘Bike Safe’ and can even handle DH bikes. The aluminium anti-shock frame holds the bike frame securely and comes with has adapters. It includes four wheels (and a fifth centre wheel to support heavier loads) handles in sensible places, two padded wheel bags and numerous other usability features.
Slightly smaller is the B&W Bike Box, for transporting road and MTBs. It should comfortably fit into an average estate car, with the rear seats up, and will accommodate frames to 62cm. Two padded wheel bags are included as well as fork distance keepers and foam padding for key components.

Adie wicker baskets are understandably proving popular with the Dutch bikes crowd, boosted with the growth of retro and lifestyle bike ranges. Available as either an 18-inch or 16-inch D shape the latter is also available in a version that links with ATB hangers for quick release.
It’s not just wicker baskets, however. Adie also has a black metal range suitable both road bicycles and mountain bikes.
